Another boring night barely anything had happen if it was going to be like this all the time maybe she should leave Gotham find some place better to live she might do that actually she didn’t really have a reason to stay here anymore her family’s all dead and gone she was alone and no the bat family didn’t count it was a joke anyways. Barbara climbed though the open window she had left open she undid the upper half of her suit before removing it and tossing it to the side bright green markings could be seen on her arms it worked it’s way up to the back of her neck and down to her chest she was infected by virus that had been created by Braniac she had no idea when she had been infected with it she did know she couldn’t pass it on to anyone she should probably find a way to get rid of it but why should she? It gave her power over computers and it didn’t do anything to her that she was aware of so she decided to keep it.
Stripping off the rest of her costume Barbara headed for the bathroom to take a nice hot shower before getting dressed in sweat pants and a sleeveless black shirt. Walking into the kitchen she made a cup of coffee she loved this coffee maker it can make all kinds of hot drinks just put in the water and pick out what you wanted to drink and stick the k-cup in and a few seconds later bam hot drink of your choice. When her coffee was done she picked up the cup and made her way into her computer room where her monster of a homemade computer waited all ready for her. After blowing on the coffee she took a sip of it while she watch the screen come to life things zooming by yeah she was keeping these powers alright. She did stop for a moment to wonder about Bruce showing up it was only a matter of time right? Gotta know who’s all in his city now.
She rolled her eyes he was probably going to give her the third degree about the Braniac virus why couldn’t he just mind his own business and stay out of her life? It’s not like they were family of any kind. Maybe he’ll stay busy and leave her alone but probably not if he didn’t come he’d send someone else to do and lord only knows who that could be these day’s. At lest now she'll know who'll be here before they get up here she had this whole clock tower rigged with everything camera's, traps, alarms you name it she either bought it or built it. Not even Batman could get in here with out her knowing about it ahead of time.

A few weeks had gone by since Dick's relationship had started with Dinah. It was still a surprise to the former boy wonder. Everything had went very fast. Within his first night of being back in Gotham, they two had started dating. Although their first romantic gesture may have been the kiss, he still would say that him buying her pizza was his first move. Perhaps it was the first thing that slowly began to take her heart. Probably not. It had something to do with a mixture of his personality and body. The two had been pretty much all over each other in the weeks that they had been together. Either one of them hardly ever left the bed. It was a sexual awakening for the young man. Even with Kori and Babs, he had never felt this much sexual chemistry.
Speaking of Barbara, Dick found himself slowly walking towards his former lover's home. There had not been any words exchanged between the two for some time. The last time he had even talked to her was a little more than five years ago It had ended with the two truly rekindling their friendly relationship. A small amount of sex had been involved, but that was only to ease any frustration that either of them may have had. After their night together, they decided to go their separate ways. With Dick heading to New York, there was no reason to continue the relationship. Neither one of them would take for some time after their romantic involvement with one another had ended.
Now, Dick found himself outside of Barbara's house. A bouquet of flowers in his hand. His intentions were not of the romantic kind. Merely trying to support her in her time of need. Losing a father was not something any child should go through, but the Bat-family knew about losing someone they cared about. Hell, Dick had seen his parents die in front of him. It was a memory that still haunted him today. Finally, somehow, Dick worked up the courage to knock on her door lightly. There was no way he'd mention his relationship to Dinah, unless she specifically asked.

Barbara had left the computer working while she headed back into the bathroom to remove her contacts in favor of her glasses she was probably going to be sitting in front of the computer for hours and she didn’t want her eyes to start bothering her because of the contacts. Before she left the bathroom she grabbed a scrunchie and put her hair up in a high pony tail before heading back to the computer before she could sit down someone had shown up outside and of course she knew who it was before he even rang the door bell. Sighing she made her way to the elevator why couldn’t have been Bruce? At lest with him it’d be short and right to the point and he would be gone again off into the night doing whatever. But no fate wasn’t that nice and she got stuck with Dick she can already tell this was going to be a much longer night then she had planned it to be. Glaring at the elevator she punched the down button a second later the doors opened stepping inside she hit the button for the first floor and the door’s closed.
It was a short trip to the bottom she stepped out into the small hall and thought about just telling Dick to leave and take his flowers with him that she didn’t want to talk to him. But no that would be childish and she was beyond that besides he would probably try to find a way in to talk to her one way or another. Her glare turned into a frown as she walked over to the door and pulled it opened to come face to face with Dick something she hadn’t been able to do in years. Longer then five years ago she had been confined to a wheelchair thanks to the Joker but now he was dead and she was walking again something no one knew about less of all the bat family she hadn’t talked to any of them and really wasn’t planning on it until now.
“What do you want Dick?” she asked leaning on the door way with her arms crossed over her chest waiting for him to give her an answer. She wasn’t planning on letting him in she just wanted him to say whatever it was that he wanted and to leave the sooner the better she thought.

There was one thing that Dick had mixed feelings about regarding Babs. She tended to know things more than any other hero out on the street. It allowed the costumed heroes to figure out where exactly to go regarding any crimes. The negative to this little power meant that she knew everything. No one could hide a relationship for long against the all seeing eye of Barbara Gordon. A nickname had been formulating in Dick's mind for the longest time. Barbara Gordon: The Eye of Sauron. Nothing got past her, and nothing ever would. Dick was going to attempt to try his hardest to make sure that the news of his relationship with Dinah would never get out, even if Babs tried her hardest.
What was he going to say to Barbara? Really, Dick had no clue. They hadn't talked in over five years. He'd likely give his condolences and be on his merry way. Was there really anything else to talk about? Sure, the two were still sorta friends, but it was still uncomfortable being around an ex. As much as he wanted their relationship to go back to being normal, it was not very likely. In fact, there was a slim chance of it ever happening. Sleeping with one of her best friends wasn't likely to help smooth the situation over at all.
As Dick looked directly into Barbara's eyes, a confused look spread across the young man's face. How in the world was she walking again? The woman had been paralyzed by the Joker long ago, and it seemed like she would never walk again. Now, she stood in front of him. It was almost dream-like seeing her stand again. Suddenly, a huge smile spread across his face. He quickly threw his arms around his good friend, although it was not the smartest think to do with an ex. People tend to get their feelings mixed up due to any signs of affection.
Moving away from the hug, he spoke to her. Smile still plastered on his face in an effort to cheer the woman up. "I've missed you! I know you've fallen on hard times recently, and I'm sorry for your loses. Do you want to talk about it? I'm all ears."

Barbara raised an eye brow wondering what was with the look forgetting she hadn’t told him she could walk again. And then he hugged her okay yeah that was awkward and he seemed pretty happy. “Missed you too Pixie Boots.” she’ll always call Dick that no matter what superhero name he went by today or tomorrow he’d always be pixie boots to her. Of course it was her way of paying him back for all the times he made jokes about her Batgirl costume before and after they actually got to know each other. She moved away from the door to let Dick in she didn’t really want to talk about this stuff on her front step for whoever to hear. Once Dick was inside she shut the door it locked on it’s own while she walked over to the elevator she pushed the up button and waited a few seconds for the doors to open “Not really much to talk about Dick he had been killed during the clone rampage and I was still in the chair helpless to do anything.” she walked in and leaned on the wall waiting for him to get in before hitting the button for the top floor.
“That’s the reason why I’m walking again I don’t want to be helpless like that again. I went through all that pain to get my legs back I wont lose them again now that Joker‘s dead.” she scratched at the green glowing cybernetic lines on her right arm they bugged her once in a while. “Kind of wish I was there to see it.” It was a mean thing to stay but after what she had gone through at the hands of the Joker she didn’t really care. She walked out the elevator over to her couch and sat down “Everyone lost someone during the Doomsday rampage I just lost my whole family.” she didn’t cry or even really seemed sad she had cried it all out when she was alone there were no more tears to shed.

A small chuckle came from Dick's lips when she called him by her own nickname. It seemed that she was not entirely bitter from the whole breakup. Most couples were not likely to talk about, though, and Dick wasn't about to mention their departure from each other anytime soon. He wanted everything to be about Babs. Any question directed towards him would likely make him cough information up about his new relationship. He had to make sure that stayed secret. If anything, he wouldn't tell her until the relationship got much more serious. Perhaps at their potential wedding he'd finally cough up any details. That seemed like adequate amount of time.
What was the deal with the green line running around Babs arm. That was likely a question that Dick would have to asked. It likely brought back her ability to walk, as she wouldn't knowingly inject herself with something that could be potentially dangerous. As the pair reached the top of the elevators, Dick followed Barbara to her couch. Admittedly, the lost time he was on a couch with a woman, something had happened. Those feelings for Babs were emerging, but he had to keep them down. He was in a relationship with Dinah, and he had to control his emotions.
"You have me, Babs. Dinah, Bruce, Diana, and anyone in the Bat-family. You'll always have us. Honestly, I'm always open to talk to you."

Barbara noticed Dick was looking at the glowing cybernetic lines on her arms oh crap she forgot about them and it was far to late to cover it up she hadn’t been expecting anyone to show up less of all Dick so she didn’t bother wearing anything to cover up the infection. And she surely wasn’t going to tell him she had been infected by Braniac and wasn’t planning on getting rid of the virus cause it gave her cool powers that and from what she knew it wasn’t doing anything harmful other then the markings on part of her body they do seemed to have stop growing which was nice she didn’t want to be covered in it from head to toe. Well at lest he hadn’t asked about it yet she was pretty sure he would sooner or later hopefully later give her time to think up a lie to tell him that he’d believe. This could take a while to come up with but knowing her luck Dick wont give her that time to come up with anything.
“I know just isn’t really anything worth talking about now day’s.” She shrugged that and she really didn‘t want to talk to anyone she just wanted to be left alone for a while at lest before she decided to do anything. “Speaking of which what have you been up to lately?” she asked pushing the heat off her for a while and wanted to see what Dick was doing in the new world as they called it. Besides crime fighting anyways the guy had to have some sort of hobby or job. She doubted he just sat at home every day doing nothing she knew him better then that.

Those markings could not be good. At all. Green coloring reminded Dick of something, but he couldn't quite wrap his mind around it. The memory had something to do with a former villain. Surely, it wasn't Poison Ivy. To his knowledge, the eco-terrorist didn't really have much time for inject plants into people. There was a chance that it could be a new infection brought on by the Doomsday clones. Even if it was an infection, it seemed like it had helped bring back Babs ability to walk. If it had that ability, then it should be given to anyone who had a disability. A cure for people who seemingly didn't have a chance before. Dick knew, from personal experience, that many people lost a lot more than just their families.
And then, of course, Babs had asked Dick about his personal life. Should he just lie to her? That seemed like something he wouldn't do, but it seemed very necessary. There was no reason he needed Babs to possibly get angry at him now. The two were finally talking again after five years of silence. No way he was going to ruin any possible rebuilding of a relationship between them. Once again feelings took over, and he wrapped his arms around his former lover. Their faces were awfully close.
"Nothing, Babs. I'm just back in Gotham for a few days, and I really wanted to see you."

Dick wasn’t the only one having the old feelings again no matter how hard you try to forget them they just keep coming back when you didn’t want them to. “It’s a good thing you came when you did or we might have missed each other if you had stopped by later.” She had planned on finishing up her work within the next few day’s then take a trip to the Bahamas to soak up the sun and watch the eye candy maybe find her own candy to play with. A handful of years ago she wouldn’t even think about leaving her computer unless she was dragged away from it even then it didn’t last long before she was right back at it. But after the world had ended and a new one began Babs decided to spend time outside the computer live a some what normal life. Plus she had her legs back she wasn’t going to let them go to waste sort of speak.
Apparently Dick wasn’t seeing anyone if he was moving this close to her if he was he’d stay back. Sense he wasn’t she wasn’t going to pass up the chance to kiss him again so she went in for the kiss closing the distance between them and hoped he wouldn’t pull away from her. After all these years she still had feelings for him was that normal? She had no idea but she wasn’t going to question it and just enjoy what she had here and now.

Had Dick not managed to force himself to go to Babs house, they would not be in their current situation. Feelings redeveloped rather quickly. At one point, he had thought that they had completely managed to eliminate those. Five years should have been plenty. Hell, he had tried his hardest to talk to the woman as little as possible. Those feelings needed to be erased before they could ever think of talking to each other again. Now, only a few words had all these dead things coming back to life. Great.
Those lips of Babs suddenly were coming towards Dick's face. It was the point of no return. Both choices could easily result in two women being angry at him. Neither of those things seemed fun. Yet, they would happen no matter what his choice would be. Someone would be angry, and he would have to live with his decisions. A friendship would officially be gone, and it would likely never be any recovery from it.
And, just like that, Dick found his lips on Babs's own perfect set. A couch lay just behind the woman, and he found himself pushing her towards it. Eventually, he pushed her onto it. Quickly, he ripped the top of from her body. Noticing that the green line ran ALL over his body. Dick smirked for a second. She was glow in the dark. His lips eventually moved to her throat, as he attempted to get his belt off. Why was it so difficult to get his damn belts off? This had been a problem with, well, he didn't much want Dinah in his mind at the moment. "I love you, Barbara."

Five years would have been long enough for a normal couple to get over each other but Dick and Barbara where anything but normal. They hadn’t had a normal lives since they where children even when Barbara had been put in a wheelchair by the Joker her life wasn’t normal then nor did it slow day any it did however seemed to get more busy. She had spent countless hours in front of a computer it was only when someone dragged her away from it did she ever do anything else. Even with the Doomsday clones came they barley slowed her down they did however get her back on her feet.
Barbara never broke the kiss as she was pushed back towards the couch. The next thing she heard was her shirt being torn that was fine wasn’t anything "I always wanted to be a glow stick when I grew up.” she joked when Dick cybernetic lines where on more then just her arms. She closed her eyes enjoying Dicks lips on her neck for a moment until she realized he was having a problem with something moving her hands down she pushed his hands away before undoing his belt and pants. He always did have problems with his belts since his day’s as Robin. And then he said those three little words she never thought she’d hear from him ever again “I love you too, Dick.” she said before grabbing his shirt then pulling it off possibly ripping it in some places.
