Diana stood at the back of the training arena watching the twins spar they’ve been coming back to Paradise Island a lot lately because Alexis and Thomas wanted to keep training sense Bruce had been busy lately she didn’t mind making many trips back. While the twins sparred Diana slipped off heading for the beach wanting some time to herself something she didn’t get much of anymore she didn’t mind much she did love her children and of course Bruce he’s been a great father. She had been surprised that her mother and sisters loved both of her children she was sure they would have rejected Thomas because he was a boy but they didn’t well most of them didn’t there were a few that didn’t like the fact that there was a male on the island even if it was a child. She told them if they had a problem with her son then take it up with her so far no one has really done anything about it other then glare at Thomas from time to time which he ignores after she had explained why they were looking at him like that.
Diana walked along the beach while the waves crashed on shore it wasn’t long before she found she was no longer alone two lions had joined her a male and female they were old friends of hers it had been a long time since she had seen them and missed them dearly. After a bit she found a place to sit and watch the water while the lions lay on either side of her just relaxing with her. She had always gotten along with the animals ever since she was little. That’s how long she’s known the lions living on this island they didn’t age either and had been here as long as she could remember along with most of the other animals.

It felt great to be home again. It had been so long, far too long. The visits were far and in between as busy as her duties of working with the Council of the Chosen had kept her. This princess wouldn't trade it for anything but it still felt great to be back in the island again. Diana was back as well along with the twins, both of whom were still precious and cute, adorably so. 5 years hadn't changed the fact much. The downside was that she and Diana had rarely spoken since Donna returned to Themyscira, island of Paradise. whether that was by design or by coincidence Donna Troy intended to find out now. Though they hadn't always seen eye to eye over the years they were still close. At least Donna considered them close. Diana, Hippolyta and Zarda were still the three most important people in her life, though not all for the same reasons. 2 were family to her, the other was her lover.
Walking to the golden sands in Amazonian styled clothing and barefoot to let her feet embrace the feel of the warm sand, Donna had handfuls of bread crumbs to feed the birds that would be gathering along the shoreline . A small smile stretched on her lips at the sight of Diana sitting with the lion pets she grew up with on each side.
"Alexis and Thomas training seems to be coming along nicely. Penny for your thoughts, Diana."

Like Donna Diana too was dressed in Amazonian styled clothing as well as the twins they didn’t have to but wanted to and had made it very clear too. Diana hadn’t noticed someone coming until the lions had reacted to the new comer. “Donna.” she got up from where she had been sitting moving over to her sister to give her a hug it had been a long time since either of them had talked or really seen each other. “They both seemed to have gained our fighting spirits. I guess part of me is happy that I finally found someone to be happy with and the other part of me is sad that I’m going to out live Bruce.” that was the sad truth about a human being with an Amazon but that didn’t change anything she would still be with Bruce until the day he died.
“How are things with Zarda?” it was her turn to ask the questions and she hoped the woman was being good to her sister or else two of them where going to have a very long talk. She wasn’t going to stand by and let Zarda hurt her sister if that was the case she hoped not though.

When Diana darted over to embrace her the lions followed alongside. Donna smiled and returned the hug, holding her there for a few seconds before she reached to pet the lions. Donna remembered them quite well and they still seemed to remember her after all these years also. "I have been here for awhile now, Diana. It saddens me a little that I had to come and find you instead of you greeting me after my arriva. I am glad there now seems to be no reason behind it other than a coincidence. It is great to see you again, I missed you, sister."
Donna's faint smile grew as she listened to Diana speak of the joy she had found with Bruce and her children. "You too are quite different in some ways yet so similar in others. You both have the hearts of warriors but you are quite capable of relaxing and enjoying life when not in battle. You constantly take the time to smell the roses while I think your dear husband, and I don't mean this in a critical way it's just how he is but Bruce Wayne must surely brood in his sleep. How else has he gotten so god at it? Enjoy the precious moments you have with him while you can. I hope to the goddesses you do not lose him before his time the way I did with..." She stopped that sentence when Diana spoke again and seemed to purposely interrupt as though to keep the conversation from being gloomy while Donna relived her past heartbreak.
"Zarda treats me like a queen. Perhaps better than I deserve. In other words she likes to spoil me as I do her. I love her deeply, Diana. I just wish she did not have issues with exclusive commitment sometimes is all." Her voice dropped to a quiet whisper as she scattered the crumbs she carried to the winds. "She doesn't like the thought of sharing me with anyone and yet I don't think she feels the thought of sharing her should bother me. It does." She shook her head then tried to change the subject.
"How is mother and how how long will you be home, Diana?"

“I know both Alexis and Thomas have been a handful I haven't had much time to do anything on my own since we got here until now thankfully. Hopefully mother and the others will keep them busy for a while so we can catch up on things.” as they talked the male lion rubbed up against Diana marking his territory perhaps or just had an itch and decided to use to deal with it.
Diana laughed at what Donna had said about what Bruce did in his sleep “Bruce doesn't brood in his sleep at worst he snores when he's tired and when he can hardly keep his hands off me. It's a wonder we don't have more children. And I hope so to I wish to enjoy all the time I have with him while I have it.” She shook her head not liking having to think about what would happen in the years to come or to think about life with out Bruce.
“From what I know of her it doesn't seem like Zarda's ever truly been with someone completely it takes time, I know you two have been together for years. I'm sure she's gotten better at it and still isn't as bad as she once was.” She linked arms with Donna trying to get to walk the beach with her. “She'sdoing well busy as always but that isn't anything new and we'll probably be here for a few weeks if things go the way there suppose to that is.” With their lives it was hard telling if they would make it the full two weeks or not.

"I look forward to seeing my niece and nephew again soon. It has been too long. I regret the fact I have been so tasked with helping the council rule there has been little time to be a bigger part of their lives." She spoke candidly with the sound of regret filling her voice. "Are you sure you have no regrets about them starting to train at such a young age? I do not remember being that young when I started out unless my memories fail me. It would not be the first time that has happened."
She let Diana speak until she had said her peace and it ran it's course, locking arms with her beloved sister as they started down the beach. A soft ripple of laughter, more like a girlish giggle left her lips as she thought back to when Diana and Bruce first married. "It's funny that I never thought Bruce as the one you would end up with. I always pictured you spending eternity with that strange visitor from another planet." Her voice grew more serious and she dabbed at hand at her eyes while her head shook from side to side."I still can't believe he is really gone, Diana. Not even after all this time. He had been dead before and come back. It wasn't supposed to happen to him..." She whispered, head leaning against Diana's arm. "Life can be so cruel but hardly ever fair sometimes."
The younger of the two Amazon sisters nodded in agreement at the subtle suggestion something might tear them away before they can live out their vacation back here at home. "I hope to stay awhile also. I hear talk of there being a festival of some sort upcoming. I hope to stay at least long enough to attend it and spend quality time with you, mother and the children. Hera knows it will probably be a miracle of Zarda or another council member doesn't summon me back on some matter too soon."
