Finally, it seemed, Namor had someone who could become his queen. Of course, he wasn't one to marry someone on their first day meeting each other. Three days minimum. That had always been his motto. Well, that wasn't true. At all. If someone was going to be his queen, he actually needed to know a few things about the women. No way he was going to allow some crazy person to inherit his throne if he ever died. Craziness seemed to be a gene passed on through generation. He had already had one crazy prince, and he didn't plan on having anymore.
To be honest, Namor was very surprised that Aspen willingly allowed the kiss to continue. Sure, it was Namor, but some women didn't seem to like when a random man kissed them. Lifting the woman up, he intensified the kiss even more. Eventually, he stopped to look at his new beautiful lover. He had to ask her a few questions about her. Just anything. Didn't even matter. "Admittedly, I think our mouths know each other a little more than we actually know each other. Feel like we need to change that. Tell me something about you, my dear."

Aspen thought for a moment trying to think of what to tell Namor “A number of years I tried to become an Olympic swimmer until I was banned apparently just because I look human on the outside doesn’t mean I was human on the inside. When that dream was put on ice for good I became a Marine Biologist. I was obsessed with water if I wasn’t in on it I was looking at it through a microscope.” Might sound like she was a little insane but she really wasn’t it was just because of what she was.
She wasn’t going to tell him everything about her he already knew she wasn’t a mutant after following down into the ocean to the underwater city she could tell he didn’t know of the place. But didn’t know to much more then that. Maybe she’ll tell him at some point or not she wasn’t sure because she didn’t want to get used again as some type of weapon. “I spilled now it’s your turn to tell me something about yourself.” wondering what else he could tell her about himself.

An athlete. Something he could have guessed just by simply looking at her. Although, it wasn't like he cared too much. While it was a bit of an asshole thing to say, Namor tended to fall in love with people who had a good body. Emma Frost and Sue Storm being the most notable of people. Still, he did have a different view of beauty than plenty of people had. Some people who others might find ugly, he would easily find beautiful. Aspen, though, there wasn't a single bad comment that could be directed towards her appearance. The woman was pretty much a goddess. Maybe she knew that, especially since it appeared she liked to wear a bikini quite often. Not much different from his costume simply being a "speedo". If you got it, flaunt it.
Many people knew who Namor was. It was always a shock when they had no clue who the king of Atlantis was. Especially with the many times he's been apart of superhero teams and the times he's attempted to dominate the surface dwellers. "There's not much I can tell you, unfortunately. I guess, I only recently took up leadership of the X-Men. Looking to allow more than just mutants into the group. With the help of several normal people, I plan on calling the west coast my own. That's about all I can really divulge to people who aren't in my family," he said, chuckling softly. He may have already told her too much, but he really did not care.

And everything was looking up until he said the f word family. Aspen partly turned into water and slipped out of Namor’s hands. “Whoa, okay I didn’t know you had a family I don’t date or anything with a taken man.” she wasn’t the type to go after taken men she didn’t want to be the other woman she wanted to be the only woman. She really hated it when people were right about the whole all the good ones were taken right now. She was kind of hoping Namor was single he didn’t seem all that bad and wanted to get to know him in more ways then one.
She should have known it was to good to be true sure she was good looking and all that but that didn’t mean they were lining up around the block to date her. Most guy’s didn’t really like hearing her talk about her work or anything smart really actually she blamed it all on Jersey Shore and other stupid shows like it. "Well...uh...good luck running the X-Men and all that." she said before moving towards the water again ready to head back home and deal with the crap there.

When Aspen escaped from his clutches, Namor raised an eyebrow. All of this over the fact he said he had a family? Sure, Namor did have a family. Once upon a time. Unfortunately, they were no longer in the realm of living. Namor was a single man, at the moment. Many loves had been in and out of his life, but he learned to move on. That was something hardly any body in America could do. Most of the time it was him getting broken up with. If it was Sue or Emma, it really didn't matter. Apparently, they preferred the boring man over someone who led a life of adventure. Not that he was jealous or anything. Not at all. Especially with a beautiful woman in front of him.
Who appeared to be leaving. Before Aspen could leave, Namor descended upon her. Putting a hand around her waist, he pulled her close to him. With his mouth close to her ear, he whispered a few words to her. "I am not married, I promise you that. My kingdom has no queen. There is no heir to the throne of Atlantis. Yes, I was once married before. No longer am I. Nor did I expect to have a queen or an heir for some time. Unless, you somehow change that. Just trust me, Miss Matthews."

Now she wished she had a tub of ice cream and the remote to her TV to get over this let down. Before one toe touched the water something wrapped an arm around her waist pretty much pulling her off her feet backwards towards Namor? Geez how can he move so fast? Really that wasn’t humanly possible yeah she knew he wasn’t human since he was able to follow her down into one of the deepest Blue cities with out any problem. Sure she was fast in the water not as much on land though.
Aspen watched Namor out of the corner of her eye so she misunderstood him it happens when one isn’t clear on these things. Okay that’s a first unless she misunderstood him again it pretty much sounded like he wanted her to have his babies “If you play your cards right then some day down the road it could happen.” she wasn't all that lucky in that area so she kind of wasn't holding her breath on it happening ever with Namor or someone else once he ran off.

Would a family be started from this chance meeting? The odds were very slim. Two other women still seemingly held his heart, yet they had never gotten anywhere with him. When it came to relationships, Namor had not made the journey to the very end with a woman. Marriage was always in his mind at the beginning but somewhere down the road it all changed. Either they found out they had love for someone else or Namor simply lost interest. His love life had not been ideal for the past couple of months. His only marriage coming from an alliance that he had to string together. The Atlanteans needed something to keep them fighting against the Americans.
Picking Aspen up in his arms, Namor smiled and kissed her softly on the lips. Carrying her off, they soon arrived in San Francisco. Several mutants were helping humans fix houses. Peace and harmony between the two species. Finally. It seemed that Namor had done something that many others could not. And he was quite happy about it. Another notch on his belt. King of Atlantis, leader of the X-Men, and, now, he was the man who brought two species that hated each other together. Smiling at the woman in his arms, he spoke. "What do you think? Beautiful, isn't it?"

Aspen’s eyes widen when she was lifted into the air high into the air at that. She isn’t scared of heights normally but that was when she was in a metal object a plane but this…this was new. She wrapped her arms around Namor’s neck tightly but not tight enough to choke him. Where in the world was he taking her now? She managed to look around and saw they were heading towards San Francisco her old home before she had to move underwater because the government decided to fuck everything up. She had lived farther down the beach from here.
“It is I didn’t think anyone would be able to rebuild because of those things running around destroying everything in sight.” She gazed down at everyone working or playing around as happy children as if nothing bad had ever happen. She frowned as a thought occurred to her “How do you keep those things from coming back and destroying everything all over again?” she looked at Namor.

As Aspen wrapped her arms around Namor's neck, he couldn't help but laugh. Flying normally didn't scare too many people. Normally, though, they found something below them. Shielding their minds from the thought of how high they were. Being carried by someone was a much different experience. If you looked down, all you could see was ground. Either water, pavement, or buildings. Both of which would kill you if you fell from that height. Not that it would to Namor. Probably not Aspen either. Although, if you weren't use to flying without the use of a plane, it'd likely scare a few people. Aspen was seemingly no exception.
It was odd seeing Atlanteans, mutants, and humans all working together to get rid of the clones. None of this would have happened under Zarda's rule, at least in Namor's mind. Just for Namor, though, it was damn near impossible to get them to work together in the first place. Somehow, through a lot of coercing, he managed to make the alliance between the species last. He hoped that it would last for a very long time. At least, until Zarda came knocking, then they'd have an even bigger threat to handle.
"It's easy to keep the clones away when you have so many powerful people around. I've done what a number of people couldn't do. Get mutants and humans to actually work together," he said, leading her into a building nearby. It was fairly abandoned. Someone had been in the building recently. "It isn't much, but I've made a home here. Much less extravagant than a palace, I know. Doubt I'll see many of those around."

Aspen probably wouldn’t survive a fall from that height unless it was in water anything else she’d brake bones or die if she was in water pretty much nothing could hurt her well expect for that blue moon thing that happened a few years before all this happened that kind of killed her until her other powers woken again and she used the water and her energy powers to reform her body from nothing. How awesome was that? Who could say they can do that with their own bodies? Probably no one that’s who guess the stories about the Black were all true that they were all gods and she was a dimi-god? She didn’t really know what she was other then being one of a kind there wouldn’t be any like her unless some day she had kids but who was she kidding? That wasn’t going to happen anytime soon or at all not with the way things where going in her life she’d be lucky to have a normal day with out someone wanting to kill her or use her for something.
“Not that I would know what a palace looks like other then what I’ve seen in movies.” It was pretty nice considering what’s happened to the world, man she missed living on the surface the water was nice and all but that was about it the people she was living with really got on her nerves a lot. Mostly because they didn’t trust her and because she different they might even be scared of her even though no one would really admit it they were to proud to do such a thing. “You probably would rather live it up in a palace then here among us common people.” she wasn’t trying to sound mean or anything but he was a king after all living among normal people probably wasn’t such a great thing.

Despite the fact that he had to come on land occasionally, the water was Namor's best friend. If he didn't have to come up to balance his moods, he'd likely stay underwater in Atlantis. Was there any reason to come to the surface? In the water, he was practically immortal. Any injury or damage would instantly be healed due to the water. If he was slightly fatigued, a dip in the water would revitalize him in seconds. It could just be a little puddle, and he could take on the Hulk like it was nothing. One time, he had actually managed to take on Wolverine. He was almost defeated, but, being the idiot that he was, Wolverine threw him into a pool. A few seconds later and Wolverine's healing factor would've meant nothing.
Yes, Namor preferred something a bit more luxurious than a common house. More space was far more comfortable than being in a cramped position in a small house. Sure, the house he was currently in was actually bigger than most others around it. He deserved a larger house. No one else had helped him bring so many people together. Although, there was some hostility when Namor showed up with a ton of Atlanteans clad in armor. That was due to a potential battle with Cyclops who literally ran away from Utopia. Honestly, the man had not been seen sense the Atlantean "invasion" of the West Coast.
"This isn't my normal house. Just something I decided to live in while helping these people. I do need to show you my palace in Atlantis sometime. It's not very often I get to show outsiders," he said, chuckling. "I do prefer my bed in Atlantis. Much softer and bigger. Although, this bed is big enough to fit two people." A smirk remained on his face, as he nodded to the bed in the room next to them.

Aspen was looking around the house whoever it had belonged to before had a nice place. She stopped what she was doing when she heard the comment about Namor’s bed she rolled her eyes before turning to face Namor with a raised eye brow. “Your going to have to do better then that if you plan on getting me into bed Mr. Smooth talker.” If Namor wanted to get into her pants he was going to have to do better then I’m the king of Atlantis now get naked and get into my bed. Aspen wasn’t that easy she might have been out of the loop of most things but she did still date once in a while most of them turned out to be jerks that she wanted to sleep with her cause she was hot. Yeah okay she kissed Namor and it was kind of long but that’s not a free pass to get her into bed.
Even though he had a great smile eyes you could get lost in and body you just wanted to have your hands all over and he probably had a huge…she cut off her train of thought when she realized where her mind was going. She shook her head and looked away hopefully he didn’t noticed she had been staring at his body and frowned at herself for thinking like that it didn’t help the little vice in the back of her head telling her she wasn’t going to be young forever and might as well have some fun. She cleared her throat “So…um, what now?” she asked looking over at Namor once she got her dirty mind back under control.

Once again, Namor let out a chuckle. Getting Aspen into bed was never his initial plan. It all just sorta led to the very moment they were currently in. Of course, the thought may have crossed his mind a few times. It was kind of hard not to have those thoughts, due to the woman's appearance. Him mentioning his bed was merely a cause of the flirtatious manner that he possessed. Women tended to flock towards him, which had helped mold his flirty demeanor. Attractive women seemed to love the way he carried himself. It wasn't like he was gonna change it anytime soon.
Suddenly, Aspen seemed lost in her own mind. Following her eyes, Namor noticed that they were trailing downward. First, they started at his own eyes, trailed down to his body, then finally finished with them fixated just below his waist. A large smile spread across his face, as she finally made eye contact with him again. When she finally spoke, Namor decided to move closer. They were practically up against each other. Aspen's arm now rested against his chest and stomach. Her hand just under his waistline. "You know, I usually have a policy against people looking but not touching," he said, his mouth against her neck.
"I'll allow you to break that little rule of mine."

Aspen’s face turned red from embarrassment she had been caught like deer in the headlights and she just wanted to get out of her as fast as she could. She couldn’t believe she went all teenage girl on him looking at him like that. She had actually hoped he was to lost in his kingly ego to even noticed but that was wishful thinking he had seen her watched her even and it was time to go before she did something else stupid or insulting or something she didn’t know what it would take to make him mad or whatever she really didn’t know how to act around a king of anything. Aspen was about to take a step ready to leave this place but before she could Namor was really really close to her now. And then she realized where one of her hands where at and how close it was to his…yeah.
Some time later they were in bed together yup she really didn't expect this to happen at all not meeting Namor or ending up in his bed but here she was. You would think she'd be enjoying the after glow but she just felt like she had been used another mark on the kings bedposts. But she wouldn't say or do anything about it right now.

In only a couple of hours of meeting, Namor had found himself in bed with a gorgeous woman. Something that even shocked the King himself. Waking up that morning, he didn't exactly expect to be meeting a new face. Much less sleep with someone. Not that he didn't enjoy it. Anytime he had relations with a person he enjoyed it. But, this time, it was a bit different. It just wasn't one of those typical one night stand deals. No, he actually felt something for Aspen. What that was? He had no clue yet. All he knew was that he wanted to keep her close to him.
Finally, Namor's eyes opened. It appeared that Aspen had not awoken yet, which caused him to turn over and pull her closer to him. Kissing her softly in an attempt to wake her up, Namor still couldn't believe what had happened. One moment he was chasing her. The next they were having a great night. "I'm thinking about heading down to Atlantis today. Get some more supplies. I'd love if you'd join me, Aspen," he whispered into her ear. He then placed more kisses along her jawline.
