Aspen stood on the shore looking out at the ocean it was pretty calm it seemed to be the only thing that was clam around here that wasn't full of dead bodies or bones. But right now she couldn’t do anything about what happened she just needed to let them deal with it while she tried to sort out her life. Right now she just needed to clear her head and what better way to do it then with surfing? But there was no waves bummer it would be if she was a normal person. Walking into the water until it was deep enough then swam out a ways using her powers to get out there faster.
Getting out far enough she stopped and with a thought she created a massive wave behind her and soon enough she was tube riding moving along the wave with out the use of a board who needed one when you can become apart of the water? She learned it was a lot more fun doing it barefoot and didn‘t have to worry about breaking a board. Speaking of fun she transformed into water before disappearing into the wave before reappearing on top of it. This was a lot more fun then being inside the wave.
It was one small joy in a world of nothing but death at lest she'd get to be happy for a little bit before having to return down below where she had been living with Captain Matthews it took a lot of work to talk them into letting a human live down there but they finally agreed to it. The only real problem was she had to keep a lot of those jerks from killing a lot of them blamed all human's for the bombings that destroyed their homes forcing them to run for their lives.

Utopia had fallen into the hands of the Kingdom of Atlantis. With some added protection, the small mutant stronghold was going to even more safe. This had been Namor's intention all along, although his ways of gaining the city were less than nice. After sending out a threat to Cyclops, the mutant quickly left the city. He had not been seen for some time. Had Cyclops tried to stand his ground, Namor knew that the X-Men leader would meet a very quick death. There was not a chance that he could beat the King of Atlantis. Hell, Namor had fought Thor and Sentry to a draw. Cyclops was not even on the same level as those two.
Surprisingly enough, Namor had been granted leadership of the X-Men. While he wasn't a full-fledged mutant, he had been with the team for some time. Only leaving once Cyclops showed his lack of experience in the wake of the Doomsday Clones attacks. Of course, he also had to leave to defend Atlantis. The clones didn't have much of a chance. No way they were going to defeat Namor in water. Especially when only a small drop could enable him to defeat just about anyone. He had also formed an alliance with Zarda, but it no longer seemed needed. Technically, she was his wife. Queen of Atlantis. But that title seemed to hold no meaning to the woman.
It was obvious that Namor needed some time away from just about everything. Utopia seemed to lack the mutants that it had once possessed. No doubt Scott's doing. But, those thoughts were in the back of his head now. Swimming through the water, he noticed a young, beautiful woman surfing. Not an activity he really did, but the woman seemed to be having a good time doing it. Then, the woman turned into water. This made the king smile in enjoyment. The woman had powers. Water, in fact. Relate-able. "Nicely done. Admittedly, I prefer to stay under the water, but you make surfing look quite fun," he said, smiling at the woman. "I'm King Namor, by the way." That was a title he never got used to saying.

Aspen was going to dive off the top of the wave back into the water she loved so much but stopped when she realized she was no longer alone the wave had also stopped moving as well as if some invisible force was keeping it from going anywhere. But in fact it was Aspens doing it took barely a thought to do it funny how not that long ago she had trouble doing the simplest things with water. As much as she hated to admit it she had Killian to thank for that but wasn’t going to give him to much credit for it after all the guy turned her into a weapon after she realized what was going on he tried to kill her obviously it didn’t work cause that would have sucked dying and all.
“Under the water can just be as chaotic as being on top of it.” Endless wars with other Blue or with the surface with her in the middle or be in a three way with the Black as they want to destroy the surface and Blue. It was one big headache. “King Namor? King of what exactly?” she really had no idea who he was with the way her life has been since finding out she wasn’t human she never really stopped to find out what was going on with the world expect when Superman died and those Doomsday clones.

The wave had suddenly stopped moving. Some invisible force holding it still. It appeared that the woman had a few more powers up her non-existent sleeves than he had originally thought. Besides having a water form, it appeared that woman had some control over the water itself. To what extent? Namor had no idea, but it appeared that the woman could be much more powerful than he originally thought. Perhaps the woman was a mutant. He really did not know. There was always the chance that she could be some sort of alien princess or something like that. Alien princesses seemed to always be an attractive bunch.
How did she not know who Namor was? Everyone in the galaxy knew the many adventures of the king. For someone who had some powers with water, it would be expected that she'd know who the king of Atlantis was. Apparently, his ego was still a bit too big to understand that, despite being quite popular with the women of Earth, some people did not know who he was. "I am king of Atlantis and leader of the X-Men. Surprised you haven't heard of me," he said, with one eyebrow cocked. Eventually, he let out another friendly smile towards the woman. "Enough about me for now. Now, who are you, beautiful?"

“The lost city of Atlantis? Seriously? Well truthfully my life’s been in major chaos before all this has happened. So I guess I’m out of the loop on the whole superhero thing.” she shrugged it really wasn’t a huge thing for her to know about them she mostly stayed out of all that stuff anyways sure she had powers but that didn’t mean she was going to go save the world not when the world wanted her either dead or on a table being cut open to see how she ticks. “Guess I never really saw it as an important thing to know about.” She dropped off the wave which dropped back into the water as well.
Oh boy this could end up being a bad thing a lot of people wanted her for one reason or another. Then again if he did try something she could fight even though she really didn’t want to she’d do it if she didn‘t have any other choices in the matter. “It’s Aspen.” and now she waited to see if he would do anything or not hopefully not she really didn’t want to get dragged back into the war between the surface and the world below.

Major chaos? It appeared her life had been filled with chaos. Life for many people appeared to be finally settling down. Utopia had turned into a peaceful paradise for mutants. Clones couldn't even touch the place. So much power located in one region of Earth. It was glorious to see. If he could convince the girl to come to Utopia, her life could make a huge turn for the better. The chaos that apparently filled her life would be gone. In fact, she'd have friends to help her get rid of whatever was plaguing her. That's really all Namor wanted to do for the woman, at least for now. Perhaps, in time, he'd help her with many other things.
The woman, Aspen, seemed to hesitate a little after being asked what her name was. There had to be some reason for that, but Namor did not feel the need to press her. It did seem like her body tensed up a little, but that was probably just Namor's imagination. Not that he wasn't going to take his eyes of her. For more reasons than one. Smiling, he attempted to reassure the woman that he meant no harm towards her. "Aspen? That's a gorgeous name. Like I said, I'm leader of the X-Men. We have a base established in Utopia. I could take you there, if you'd like. It's safe there."

She frowned a bit trying to think of where she heard of that place after a bit of thinking she got it. It as far as she knew was a place for mutants and she only knew that because everyone everywhere was talking about the place when it had showed up for months. “Isn’t that a place for mutants only? I’m-I’m not a mutant.” she was someone everyone wanted and it nine times out of ten weren’t good things. It was either to hurt her or other people. She looked away from Namor that’s when she spotted them two others how long had they been there? They didn’t look all that happy they were glaring daggers at Namor they must know him.
“It’s been nice talking to you Namor but I should go.” she dove into the water her legs below her knees turned into water and she shot off the other two following behind her trying to catch up with her she wasn’t at all happy about being followed she needed to find Canon and talk to him about this. The deeper she went the darker it got almost until you couldn’t see anything she finally reached the capital of the blue it was a massive city home to most of the Blues now until they can find safer places to rebuild their homes. She made her way over to a building shooting up threw a hole letting her inside. “Where’s Canon?” she asked “He’s in a meeting been in there for hours.” Great now she had to wait.

Utopia had always been seen as a place just for mutants. Now, it seemed, humans were flocking to it as refugees. San Francisco had been pretty damaged. With the leadership of Cyclops, many residents of the city found themselves without someone to rescue them. The X-Men were truly no longer around. Logan had wandered off somewhere, although he was still a member. Yes, Namor had continued to spy on his old teammates. Well, he hadn't been spying on Logan. It just seemed like a typical thing for him to do. Storm had been on the team one day, but had left the next. Under Namor's leadership, though, San Francisco was slowly being rebuilt by the team and fellow mutants. It was another step for mutants and Atlanteans to gain acceptance from humans.
Before he got a chance to even say a word, Aspen shot off into the water. Two people were following her. Perhaps they were the cause of her chaos? Without thinking, he took off after the two men. Soon, he found himself in an underwater city. He knew nothing of it and, for the first time in a long time, felt a bit vulnerable in the city. Yet, that didn't keep him from tracking Aspen down. A few glances were shot towards the prince, but he shrugged them off. Finally, he found the woman. Unharmed. "Are you okay, Aspen? Thought you may have been in danger. Have to protect fellow sea dwellers, you know," he said, with some humor in his voice.

Aspen stood there waiting for Canon to get out of the meetings, she heard someone behind her oh no it was Namor he had followed her down here this was bad. She knew the Blue’s didn’t like outsiders at times they didn’t even want their own people around “Namor!? You have to leave.” she really didn’t want the others to see him here and do something probably lock him up or worst. Namor didn’t seem like a bad guy and she really didn’t want something bad to happen to him. “Please.” she looked up at him hoping he wouldn’t argue over it and would just go they could talk about it later or something. This was her problem and she didn’t want to drag Namor into it and make things worst for him or his people.
She brought her hands up to push lightly on his chest trying to get him to leave before someone spotted him. If they found out she had brought Namor here even though she didn’t know he had been following her. They would kick her and her father out that is if they were lucky they could do a lot worst. She didn’t care if she had to leave but her father wasn’t as young as he used to be and he couldn’t move around so much like most people were on the surface.

No one ordered Namor around. There wasn't a single person in the galaxy who could tell him what to do. If he was to do anything, it would be of his own decision. Taking Utopia for himself had not been an order. Marrying Zarda had not been an order. Nothing significant in his life every came from him being ordered. Yet, he found himself nodding to Aspen's words. Allowing her to suggest, not order, what he should do. Of course, he really did not want to start a conflict between two groups of people. Even though he knew the X-Men and Atlanteans would wipe the floor with them. Probably not. Not that Namor would ever admit to that.
Taking the woman's hand, he kissed it gently. Friendly. Not a kiss of romance. At the moment, all Namor wanted was to ensure the woman's safety. He felt a strange urge to actually protect Aspen. It was odd. "Fine. I'll go, but, when you're done here, I expect you to come find me off to coast of San Francisco. Need to know you're alright. Okay?" He did not wait for Aspen to respond. Time could not be wasted. The king of Atlantis could not be seen in the city. That much he knew. Now, he waited for Aspen to show up. Although, it would be a shock for her to. The two had just met and the feelings were most likely not mutual at all.

Aspen nodded watching Namor leave before she turned back around coming face to face with Biranha well it was more like face to stomach he was huge at lest twice as tall as Namor and he hated Aspen partly because of what she is and the rest because she’s trying to do with Canon and the others had been trying to do that was getting the Blue’s and human’s to live together in peace. That mostly ended with the surface being destroyed like it was but they weren’t giving up there were still people up there they could still make it work. “What do you want Biranha?” she glared up at the giant of a man she wasn’t scared of him just what he might try and do to Captain Matthews. He didn’t say anything and just pushed his way past her like she wasn’t even worth talking to. She watched him dive into the water heading to where it was he was going she didn’t like that he just randomly show up right after Namor had left.
“Something bothering you?”came a voice from behind causing Aspen to jump nearly feet in the air. She spun this time coming face to face with Canon he was taller then her but not nearly as tall as Biranha. “Wondering why Biranda was here.” “Just complaining again. I thought you went up?” She frowned “I did until I found out I spotted my babysitters.” This surprised Canon “No one was assigned to follow you around. Do you know who they were?” She shook her head “They disappeared just before I got here.” now they were both wondering what was going on. “Nothing we can do now.” She shook her head annoyed that something was going on and they seem to be going after her again.
“I’ll keep you in the loop if it happens again.” she called over her shoulder as she walked towards the hole to leave. “Your leaving?” he asked confused “I got date sort of.” it was the best thing she could come up with without telling him she was off to talk to the Atlantis some more. She dove back into the water making her way to where Utopia was. She came on shore thinking she probably stuck out like a sore thumb being only in a bikini and barefoot walking around this place looking for Namor and getting lost at the same time.

With Zarda's victory coming closer, Namor did not know if the alliance would stick. The common people would not be so willing to accept her, and, he realized, some of the citizens of San Francisco resented him for his marriage. After all, she had allowed criminals to roam free in America. If he was to ever be truly accepted, he'd have to cut ties with his queen. While this was unfortunate, he knew it had to be done. Now, he had to look for some major allies. Zarda was known for being a tad bit unpredictable, but Namor knew what she'd do. If Namor tried to claim any part of her empire, she'd was likely to come after him. Namor was not fond of death.
Besides his own people, Namor could not recall a time where he really cared about someone who he just met. It was a rather odd feeling to have. Showing concern for a woman who he just met. That was not a typical emotion for him to have, and he much preferred not to have it. Atlanteans were already a weakness that people could exploit. Now, he had Aspen. Why were those feelings even present? They had practically just met. As time began to pass, Namor began to have another emotion. Sadness. It appeared that the woman was not showing up anytime soon. Bah, these emotions served no purpose to Namor. Trying his hardest, he attempted to rid himself of them.
Looking out onto the beach, Namor smiled. Aspen was walking on the beach. Looking utterly lost. Letting out a loud laugh, he quickly made his way over towards her. Again, his face turned into one of genuine happiness. Why? Namor had no idea. "I'm assuming everything went fine? I'm glad you actually made your way here, even if you did get lost. You almost made without actually knowing where it is. Congratulations," he said, chuckling softly.

Aspen looked around the place getting a really good look at it, it kind of looked like some secret government place on a rock. So this was where the mutants where allowed to come and live with out fear being hurt? Doesn’t look very homey unless you always wanted to live in a prison then she suppose it’d be perfect. She thought they would live in like a mansion or some big house(s). Whatever this rock was made out of it kind of hurt to walk on damn if she had known that she would have brought some shoes or something to put on her feet. She ended up having to stop after a while to give her feet a break. How can people live on this thing when you can’t even walk around barefoot?
Aspen jumped at the laugh good lord what was it with everyone scaring her half to death today? Was there a memo that went around telling everyone to give her a heart attack? “Sort of got more questions then answers but that isn’t really new to me. I barely get answers that’s the truth.” She really hated that everyone has to lie to her about her past was it really that hard to tell her about her parents and such? Okay she got the whole being half Black because they were gods or something was frowned on or maybe it was because they were scared of what she might do. But she hadn‘t done anything expect help create the blue sun years ago but it wasn‘t her fault that she had been used like that “Um, Thanks I think?” she wasn’t sure what to say.

The realm of Atlantis would soon grow. Zarda would not dare to attack those in the West. Mutants and humans working alike would serve as a beacon for the rest of the heroes. Soon, they would all be living in the lands of Atlantis. Of course, he wasn't about to let his leadership slip to anyone. No, the title of king was only fit for his family. Even though he didn't quite have one. His only son had been killed during Atlantis's destruction. The city was rebuilt, but his son would never return. Namor had granted him his wish. Chaining him up to the throne seemed cruel, but his son wished for only bad things to happen to Namor and his kingdom. No one would hurt his people. Ever.
For some reason, Namor no longer felt in control of his action. If anyone asked about what he had done, he'd simply admit that his mind did not make the decision. Something else did. Deep down within his being. Moving closer to Aspen, hoping she would strike out against him, he gently caressed her face in his hands. Looking into her eyes, he once again smiled. "Aspen, I can not stop myself from doing this," he said, bringing his lips to her own. Either this could be a terrible, terrible mistake or it could be one of the defining moments in his life. Namor had a bad feeling that it was the former of the two.

Aspen was starting to wonder why she even came back she barely knew Namor the king of Atlantis as he called himself not that she really believed him. Yeah she still believed the books about it being a lost city and all. Maybe it was because they didn’t know one another he wouldn’t lie to her with every other breath he took. Aside from the whole king thing that is. But that was harmless compared to some of the things she’s been told in the past by her own people even Canon’s lied to her a few times and he was suppose to be her bodyguard? That is what he told her anyways.
Aspen looked at Namor confused by what he was doing and saying until he kissed her that took her by surprise but it only lasted a few seconds before she kissed him back. She had to admit he wasn’t a bad kisser compared to some of her old boyfriends the few she had at lest. She wasn’t really into dating her work took up a lot of her time if it wasn’t that she was spending a lot of time at the beach so much so she owned a house on the beach. Then she was invited to live and work at the DMD the (Deep Marine Discovery) and her life changed when it had been attacked. And she hadn't dated since and that had been years ago.
