Loki, Was one for hiding in plain sight. A proverbial god amongst men. It was with ease that his normal clothing, well normal for a being from Asgard, was easily changed by just a mere though of magic. Now clad in a black suit, silken dark golden yellow tie and a dark forest green overcoat. His jet black hair smoothed back against his head, his eyes shone a most unearthly green. A bit more fitting amongst the human race then steel and cloaks. Loki chose not to cloak himself entirely to everyone. In fact Loki wanted to be found by no one in particular. It had been some time since he felt the need, nay the calling to cause some almost classic chaos. Midgard would provide the perfect board for such a game.
It was peaceful for the time being, until Loki decided just exactly what he was going to cause. A car wreak was to simple for his tastes. Though one could be of large enough size in such a place traffic would be backed up for hours. Then again It was not his taste to cause something so small anymore. He placed his hands in the pockets of the overcoat as he waited patiently for the light on the cross walk to change with the crowd around him. It was easy to just follow the example of others at this time then do what he normally does. More or less it was whatever he wished to.
The light changed on the cross walk and the crowd moved accordingly. He did as well. Loki paused for a moment, looking up at the clouds before continuing on his path to no where. A devious smile grew across his face as he gave into the small scale malicious thought crossed his mind earlier. It was as simple as a whim to cause a few cars from the oncoming traffic to plow through the rest of the crowd that was behind him. Smashing ruthlessly into the oncoming lane on the other side. A screech of moving tires across asphalt, Crunch of metal against metal, shattering glass. Screams of pedestrians, that could move out of the way. Others that could not an lost their lives or injured.
It was so easy to cause a massive disruption of chaos in Midgard. The beings that called this realm home were terribly high strung, it was nothing but a powder keg waiting for the fire to ignite it.
Though the thing that made him stand out in the crowd of frantic humans, was the fact that he was not one, nor was he running around like someone had removed his head from his shoulders. He merely continued walking.
It would be dark soon. The sun was sinking, the shadows of the tall buildings reaching out over him like lengthening claws, to snatch and swallow him up. The thought should have been comforting. He had always been at home in the shadows, in the darkness, where no one could find him. Protected. Hidden. Safe. Where he could see and not be seen. But now he could think of nothing but his cell, his prison, so thrice cursed dark. Nothing but black pressing in on his eyes, seeping into his mind, teeth into his brain, until he could barely remember what light was.
The tall buildings had eyes. They glowed balefully in the liquid firelight of the sunset. No matter where he went, they would see. They would know.
He wanted to stop feeling. He was broken, shattered, irreparable, but would not quite accept it. Much akin to the denial he held about his pedigree. There was still some shard of him down in that dark hole, some shard of him back in Asgard, some shard of him in the void through which he fell, pieces of his soul forgotten and rotting away. Pieces that could never be replaced.
Every thought felt jagged, tearing at him as it passed through his mind.
The thoughts that had tortured him as he plummeted between the branches of Yggdrasil, little hooks lodging in his mind, refusing to let go, they were returning, rusted but just as sharp as before.
He ducked into the space between two buildings, leaned back against cold brick, as his breath began to grow short and rough. His fingers clenched around the lapels of his coat, drawing it tighter around himself. He ground his teeth together, pulled at his hair, willed this to stop, his breaths ragged and shuddering in his own ears. The shadows grew around him, darkness creeping over him.
His hands came away from his scalp with blood beneath the fingernails. He could feel it trickling down the back of his neck, delicate as a lover's touch.
He wanted to laugh. What came out sounded half like a sob.
What did he have left? Only his own skin. His own power. Was this really freedom? Why did it hurt so much?
The eyes of the buildings...weren't they made of glass?
He looked up. Within moments, he willed it. They but simply shattered. A rain of splintered shard falling for blocks upon block of down town. No doubt many would be injured. Not a second thought that some would die. An he cared not a wit for it.
Loki's wolfish face split into a smile and he laughed like the maniac he truly was.

At Stark Towers, Tony finished putting his brand new computer (the one that the Green Lantern, Hal Jordan blew up) in his office. Tony got it from Office Depot, a store that was being rebuilt by the people that now work there. Lately, the clone forces were starting to go down into smaller portions and that’s good news. Since then the people in New York and other cities around the world, were starting to rebuild, so was Tony and the rest of his Avengers. He told them that this was a time to bring everyone together and to help out the citizens to show them that they are on there side. They weren’t the villains, the bad guys that the government feared them to be. It would take years to rebuild the world so everyone had to put in there hard work and effort. Tony didn’t mind, he loved helping people, that’s why he’s Iron Man, the golden Avenger. Leaving his office, Tony went to the upper floor of Stark Towers so that he can talk to the Avengers Affiliates in different parts of the world to see how they were holding up with the reconstruction. Going up there and inside the upper part of Stark Towers, a sound was heard in it. It was the emergency sound system, meaning there was attack going on in the city “So Jarvis who started the fire?”he asked his AI Butler as visual screenings came up and showed the location, then the person who started it….Loki. Tony sighed and shook his head, but wasn’t surprised. Whenever Loki wanted to attack, to Tony, he’s just desperate and looking for attention. Thor‘s brother would never get enough of making people‘s lives a living hell, it‘s what Loki does best when he‘s bored. Sometimes people don‘t have nothing better to do then to blow things up and even in a time like this. “Never mind Jarvis, I know who it is. Prepare the Mark IX Armor”, he said, under the floor and the ceiling parts of the armor starting coming out. Tony changed from his regular clothes to the tech suit as he walked up to the center of the upper floor. Every part of the armor accepted Tony. Tony walked towards the outside seeing the city before looking back. “Jarvis, send out the call to the Avengers”, he ordered. “Yes sir”, Jarvis said as Tony jumped out of Stark Towers, as the repulsor boots blasted, sending Tony into the city. “The call has been sent out”, Jarvis told him and Tony said those words through the call that was made…. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE Flying into Manhattan, Tony was looking to where Loki could be until sudden he could hear the sounds of glass breaking from buildings. They weren’t doing this by themselves so Loki’s behind it, simple. Tony the with his replusor hands starting blasting at some of the glass, stopping them from falling to the blocks that had innocent people. He could not blast all of them into bits but the ones he could that were in front of him. Tony wasn’t doing this to be reckless but saving lives, even if its glass falling from buildings. It’s harmless but can still hurt people and with his repulsor blasts it can cause less damage to the citizens. Once he was in the clear he continue to fly before finally found Loki. He sensors got a close look up on Loki and from Tony’s view, the man’s look was of one out of control and maniacal…Stark faced those kind for years. Tony then landed to where Loki was, far away but not that far. He wanted to be aware of what Loki might be up to. “Well Loki, it’s so good to see you”, said Tony. “I take it you’re having one of those bad days where things aren’t going your way” he told him in a sarcastic tone. “Don’t worry, you’re day is going to get a lot worse”, he said in a disappointing tone to Loki.

He dissipated in a burst of light like a flash grenade. Only to appear at the mouth of the alley in a more recognizable attire. Tarnished golden armor, the great horned helm. He Was but taunting Tony. It was but a lure, a ruse."Predictable!" He boasted through the laughter "I but slightly tear at your precious Midgard and you appear to attempt to save it? There is no saving it, It is far gone and crumbling further with the rest of existence. Or has the half wit Thor failed to inform you all of Ragnarök?" Loki laughed again. He knew exactly what he was doing, exactly the out come he wanted in this. Regardless of those who showed up other then this man of metal. he would rip it asunder as he fired of a round of energy charged though his hand, a bolt of powerful magic would surely rip through Starks armor.
The Kid gloves were off with these mortals. No longer was he toying with them, No longer was he playing games. He meant to destroy this world. Midgard was just the beginning. The test phase, the spark that was to set the remaining eight realms to fall even faster. All leading to the end of the grandest prank of all.

In the living room of the Avengers Mansion, Bruce Banner was focusing, concentrating, and breathing in and out. This is one of his breathing techniques he does everyday and night to control the beast. It came in handy whenever Bruce needed to rein in the beast. It didn't mean that The Hulk inside was peaceful, he wanted to smash and just tear things a part. That's what Bruce feared & people getting injured, hurt and badly dieing because of it. The Hulk can be a good thing for Bruce whenever he feels weak or bullied. At the same time it can be a curse of bad luck like it was years ago. Now with things on the bright side, Bruce can unleash the beast when an enemy of The Avengers or other villains. The Avengers need The Hulk because Bruce/Hulk's friends are with the team and other allies who want to keep earth at peace. Suddenly a call was sent out to the Avengers, disrupting Bruce's train of thought, but he knew what he had to do. Getting up and changing into his gear, he walked outside the mansion. Closing his eyes for a bit, he opened them back up....the green appeared as Bruce starting changing, more bigger, more larger, more bulkier and more stronger...more greener. Bruce was no longer Bruce, Bruce is now The Incredible Hulk. He let out a huge roar before jumping up high then back down, then high again, heading to the destination where the battle is. Minutes pass and The Hulk see's two people, Iron Man and Loki. As Loki was charging his attack at Iron Man, Hulk ran toward Iron Man and jumped, pushing him out of the way and out of the blast. Hulk got up and checked on Tony who was alright before looking at Loki. Hulk hated the puny little god so much, he wanted nothing more but to grab his head and smash it into the ground. Hulk had a monstrous, evil grin on his face looking at Loki. HULK SMASH PUNY GOD!!!! With two of his big hands, he smacked them together creating this huge Thunderclap right at Loki, which does create a big powerful shock wave right at him.

Oh this was going to be far to easy. Loki could hear the beast trampling form blocks away. He cared not that the Hulk had saved Tony from the energy blast, nor did the thunderclap. It was predictable. Loki was a clever fighter. It bothered him not. He calculated carefully the moments that it took for the beasts hands to clap together and upon that instant he vanished. It was a simple trick. An his magic was powerful. In fact he easily reappeared around them. Well Multiple Loki's appeared around them. All laughing and bearing the same insane grin as the next. They fell so easily into the god's trap.

Supergirl just happened to be flying over Manhattan on her way to Metropolis as a blue blur through the sky when the sounds of voices triggered her super hearing. Then came the rumbling sounds of things being smashed which was enough to gain Supergirl's full attention. Coming to a complete halt in the sky Supergirl strained her ears to pinpoint the direction of the noises. Once she was able to locate the source she flew towards it quickly but cautiously to avoid unwanted attention. Landing on the rooftop of a skyscraper Supergirl watched the battle unfold on the ground with her super vision. Supergirl didn't recognize any the fighters, even from what she remembered of Batman's extensive list of profiles. She couldn't help but notice the giant green man first who was causing the most damage to the city with wild attacks. For a moment she was sure that's who the villain was just from appearance alone. Then she noticed the man fighting along side him, or at least she thought it was a man. It looked more like a robot. Reflecting the dim sunlight the robot man's gold and red armor looked like a flame in the gloomy atmosphere. Last her eyes came upon the person who they were fighting, a man garbed in ancient armor and a horned helmet. That's when Supergirl came to realize who the true villain was, looking devilish and laughing with a traditional evil laugh. It appeared as though the villain knew magic, something Supergirl hated she felt somewhat inferior to it. But at the moment it looked as though the two heroes were at the disadvantage, surrounded by multiple clones of their opponent. Still Supergirl watched from above, carefully thinking of a plan in case she decided to spring into action. Using different forms of her super vision Supergirl tried to find a flaw in the clones in an attempt to find the real one. Besides, she wanted to see if the two apparent heroes could still hold their own.

At local school in Manhattan, Carol was helping children and adults rebuild a school. She was all for giving a hand to the young and bright. She loved to learn about many things, that’s why she became a part of the Air Force, to learn how to fly in the air. Even when she got her powers, she could still fly so it didn’t matter if she flew in a plane or even the sky. What mattered is she can feel the adrenaline whenever she flew around, a great feeling. Suddenly, Carol’s ID card went off as she took it out and the capitol A started to light up. The call was sent by Tony and Ms Marvel knew what that meant, Avengers Assemble, plain and simple. Carol told everyone that she had to leave but that she would be back to help rebuild some more. Lifting herself from the ground, Carol flew up into the air and straight to where the battle took place before waving at the others. Minutes later Carol arrived seeing none other than Loki and more than one surrounding Tony and The Hulk. She did noticed someone else standing on a skyscraper and looked familiar to Superman, even though this was a female so it had to be Supergirl. But that can wait, now it was Carol’s turn to help out her Avenger friends. She flew straight to where the multiple Loki’s, Iron Man and Hulk were. “Hey Loki!” she called up where she was. “Choke on this one”, she said with her hands lighting up and motioned for Iron Man and Hulk to get out of the way. Hulk jumped up and away from the Loki clones, and Iron Man blasted himself off the ground. The energy in her hands were full and one by one, Carol struck her photon blast at each of the Loki’s. Carol didn’t care which one of them was Loki, they all had to be stopped as she kept firing them. “Carol!”, said the voice of Iron Man as he was next to her. “Don’t hit too much, were not killing the reindeer ya know”, he told her and Ms Marvel knew what to do in situations like these. “Chill out Tony, I got this”, assuring the golden avenger, not keeping her eye of the Loki's. She stopped for a bit to see the results while Hulk was on the ground, a couple of feet away from Loki with his hands clenched.

Loki could not help but continue in his destruction of the city, Easily blasting cars from his way. Watching the metal tear, rip away from its rail system frames as he did so. The screech of metal was heavy in the air, like a clawing noise of nails on chalk boards. The God cared not for the destruction he was causing. People had long but vacated the area for their own saftey.
It was going to be a challenge, fighting them all at once, but it was however possible. The god had done it several times in his slightly younger years. It was but a welcomed challenge. It seemed as though these people came out of the wood work . These hero, types. Granted he was used to such things. However the subsequent attacks from this Carol cause the clones, the duplecates to all but vanish for sight.
Leaving the Real Loki exposed. No matter. Her powers were but amusing, a one trick pony if one will. He but slightly stumbled back as a blast happened to bounce off the spereated plates of armor. The God cranked his elbow back, charging his hand with his own retaliation. Holding little back, Loki blasted several shots of eldritch energy screaming through the air like knives at her.
Their failed attempt at communication was a weakness, exploitable. Loki could see from this that there was no leadership here. No boyscout in blue to command them properly. This would be their down fall. They were all calling the shots on their own. How would they fair throught the dust and the rubble when their enemy had all but made himself invisible to the eye. Yes he knew that Stark would be able to spot him with the help of the suit he wore. But could the mortal comand the others with out making a blunder.
Or Live to fight another day. Right now, the Trickster God was but stalking them as he slipped like smoke around them. Toying with them.
This was but all a Game to him right now.
