~ Skills ~
Powers: Super strength - Although far from being in the same class as the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman or Power Girl, Dove has greater than average strength. Though she most often prefers fighting fire with her wits, Dove could easily match muscle with the likes of Hawkman, Bane, or Wildcat just to name a few. Though she hasn't put her strength to the maximum, it's safe to say she may be able to bend steel in her bare hands but she is definitely not more powerful than a locomotive.
Super Speed and Dexterity - Dove has above average stamina, quickness and agility. She is normally in peak physical conditioning and has great endurance. Although she won't be mistaken for the Flash in a foot race, each move that Dove dishes out moves with catlike grace and fluidity. Thanks also to her dexterity, speed and agility and unlike her partner, Dove also has the ability to fly. There are limits to her endurance however. She isn't invulnerable and she can be worn down the longer a battle may go, just like a normal person. It just takes longer with her which is why she often prefers thinking her way through a fight before trading punches.
Rapid healing factor - If wounded or shot at in battle, the body of Dove has the ability to rapidly regenerate and heal itself from any injury. A broken arm for instance, which is something Dove has sustained before, can heal itself in days or even hours as compared to weeks for normal humans. Also any wound or injury that she sustains as Dove will prevent her from reverting back to Dawn if said injury or wound would prove fatal to Dawn. On the subject of her transformation, Dawn Granger can say the word Dove until she is blue in the face but the transformation only takes place when she is in immediate danger and as soon as whatever danger Dove is needed for is past, she reverts back to Dawn automatically....which is why she doesn't let grass grow under her feet when a battle is over to stand around and play 20 questions with the police. In addition when wounded, instead of blood seeping out of an open wound, Dove will ooze light rays, the why's of which she still has yet to uncover.
Enhanced mental capabilities - This above all else is Dove's greatest asset. Each time she magically transforms to Dove and steps into a battlefield, Dawn Granger becomes a virtual master of human chess, able to think multiple moves ahead of her opponent. She can almost literally tell what a person is thinking or planning just by watching the way they shift their eyes or move a muscle. In less than a heartbeat Dove can think of 10 different ways to counteract a person's next move. Preferring to fight mostly on the defensive, she always saves throwing a punch as a last resort. In this way she can more often than not cause her opponent to get riled, lose all sense of reason and make the first mistake while she herself is 99.9 percent of the time cool calm and collected and once that happens against Dove under normal circumstances, it's all over but the shouting.
The essence of Dove is the very essence of order and tranquility which is a good counter-effect not only to the chaos, cockiness and hostility so fluent in her partner but also to those around her. Dove has an aura of serenity that can have a calming influence on her partner and others she comes in contact with. In the same token, there is such a thing as too much order and without the balance of Hawk's emotions and chaos to help balance her out, Dove would most likely slowly go insane just as Hank Hall was driven to insanity back when he was thought to have been killed and became the evil Extant. Like 2 sides of the same coin, like it takes both hot and cold air masses to make a storm, so are Hawk and Dove.
Weaknesses: No matter how smart, how resourceful, how intelligent a person is....even an agent of Order like Dove, there's always someone smarter. Though it isn't an easy feat to pull off, she can be out maneuvered from time to time. She can be hurt like a normal person if she is caught with her guard down, as mentioned before she isn't invulnerable. She is susceptible to energy based attacks as well as bullets knives, etc. She is used to an opponents moves functioning like clockwork so if a person were able to fight with an erratic or chaotic plan of attack with no rhyme or reason she would have difficulty adjusting.
Abilities: Thanks to her global journeys with her mother before she became Dove, Dawn Granger is fluent in a variety of languages. She is highly intelligent both in and out of costume and almost always has an answer for everything.
Weapons: N/A
~ Appearance ~
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 120 Lbs
Hair Color: Blond as Dawn/White as Dove
Eye Color: Blue

~ Psychological Profile ~
Personality: Dawn's personality is pretty much the same as Dove, only amplified. Calm, cool collected, level headed are the words that best describe her, almost to a fault which might cause her to come across a bit on the snobbish side. In fact just the opposite is true. Deep down she would admit she might OVER think things, being afraid to make mistakes for fear of living up to the carefully sculpted reputation of her predecessor.
She is kind and compassionate but wouldn't be mistaken for naive as far as the giving of her trust is concerned. Once you are a friend of Dawn Granger's or Dove's however, it's safe to say you're a friend for life.
History: From an early age, Dawn Granger traveled the globe, thanks to her mother's career in the State Department, and learned smatterings of many languages and an appreciation for diverse cultures. While Dawn moved to and lived mainly in Connecticut, her rebellious younger sister Holly opted to live in London. During her high-school years, Dawn's family settled in Washington, D.C. when her father, a highly regarded physical technician, was offered a job at me Arlington S.T.A.R. Labs. Surrounded by diplomacy, Dawn came to believe in me power of reason over force; that all riddles have answers, all problems have solutions, and all conflicts are resolvable. She was an exemplary student, showing leadership abilities and a natural talent for order and organization.
After high school, Dawn returned to Europe to attend England's Oxford University. While there, an inter-dimensional Crisis occurred that required the services of nearly every country's super-heroes, military, and police forces. During this time, Dawn's mother, in London to deliver a diplomatic pouch, was taken hostage along with the staff of the American embassy by a band of terrorists who announced they would blow up me embassy. Desperate, Dawn's pleas for help were answered by a mysterious mingling of voices, belonging to Lords of Chaos and Order, who promised Dawn the power to make order of this chaos if she would only "say the word." The word was "Dove." She agreed.
Whenever danger is present, Dawn can say "Dove" and trigger the change in which Dove's costume swirls across her body, appearing from nowhere to replace whatever she is wearing. This costume cannot be removed on low-magic worlds like Earth and hides the fact that Dove is not truly human, but a conduit for and the living essence of a Lord of Order's mystical energy. When the danger is over, Dove reverts to Dawn.
Dawn knew about the first Hawk and Dove team, but assumed she was just "another" Dove, just as there are many Green Lanterns. She was shocked when she discovered the first Dove had died while rescuing people during the Crisis. She also noticed a change in Hawk as news resources reported his escalating destructive and chaotic behavior.
Increasingly convinced that it was intended for her to become Hawk's new partner and that Hawk needed the balancing effect of Dove's presence, Dawn returned to the United States, tracking Hawk's moves and charting his appearances. She deduced that Hawk was Hank Hall, a Georgetown University student, and transferred herself to the same school, to her parents' delight. When confronted by the new Dove, Hawk's initial reaction was angry and violent, but he came to accept and appreciate his new partner.
During this first adventure, Dove learned that Hawk and Dove were linked to Chaos and Order and that the first Dove actually died and Dawn had accepted the powers, meaning she may have been partly responsible for his death. Guilt and curiosity eventually led Dove, with Hawk, to meet Terataya, the Lord of Order who gave Dove her powers, and T'Charr, the Lord of Chaos who gave Hawk his. These two Lords had fallen in love and revealed that Hawk and Dove were experimental spells cast by the pair to prove that the two conflicting mystic houses could work together fatally injured during that adventure, the two Lords of Order and Chaos gave the remainder of their essences to make me Hawk and Dove spells permanent. This merging gave both Hawk and Dove enhanced powers. It also left Dawn wondering if Hawk and Dove were meant to fall in love as their creators had.
Fifty years in the future, life was a nightmare. Monarch ruled all and everyone obeyed his every whim. Monarch traveled back in time to insure he would be 'created.' During the battle against Earth's heroes Monarch managed to escape, stopping along the way to pick up Dawn Granger, otherwise known as Dove.
During the next few hours, Monarch used his teleportational ability to steal an odd array of equipment. Standing atop a hilly glen, Monarch proceeded to build a powerful device that would subjugate the Earth of 'the present' to his will.
By this time, Hawk tracked them down and when Dove tried to stop Monarch, the villain killed her. Hawk and Dove were always destined to be two sides of the same force, and they needed each other to maintain stability. With Dove dead, there was no one who could keep Hawk's mind in check no one to stop him from slipping into chaos. And in a rage, Hawk killed Monarch - learning that he himself was the Monarch of the future.
Dove's apparent death, however, was actually part of a larger plan by the evil sorcerer, Mordru.
Dawn Granger was thought to be dead, but that was not so; The evil mage known as Mordru saved Dawn from death and created a concealment spell so she would appear dead. Mordru knew the offspring of Hawk and Dove would create a being of perfect balance between Order and Chaos - and Mordru planned to use that vessel for his own evil ends. Dawn was impregnated by Hank Hall, who had become the villainous Monarch. Dawn gave birth to Hector Hall - who later assumed the mantle of Dr. Fate.
When Doctor Fate returned from his journey to Gemworld, he finally discovered the true identity of the woman who gave birth to him; He discovered that the woman he believed to be Lyta Hall was in fact Dawn Granger (Dove II) - and broke through Mordru's concealment spell. Shortly afterward, Mordru enacted his plan and possessed the body of Dr. Fate. He was defeated with the help of the JSA. After that adventure, Dove left to search for a new Hawk.
Dawn found the new Hawk in an unlikely yet familiar place: her own sister. Chaos and Order bestowed the powers of Hawk upon Holly Granger, Dawn's London-reared younger sister. The avian duo has begun to make their mark as the latest Hawk & Dove, even assisting the Titans in battling the more-dangerous-than-ever Dr. Light. But Like Hank Hall before her, Dawn found an ongoing challenge in taming her sister's fiery temperament.
Their powers were were temporarily withdrawn after the lords of Chaos and Order were briefly thought dead but soon returned to them. After Superboy's tragic death during the Infinite Crisis, the Teen Titans faced a year of heartache and turmoil. Hawk & Dove joined the team for a short time, but later were forced to quit when this time only Holly's powers were mysteriously withdrawn from her. She didn't remain solo for long however. Hank Hall returned and once again as Hawk and the partnership was reformed.
Rp sample Hawk and Dove scrambled out from under the rubble. Zoom stood in front of them, grinning. "CleverofyouDove. ButnotmorecleverthaaaaanZoooooom."
For one of the few times in her life since first becoming Dove, she was in shock at her own miscalculation as she watched Zoom easily evade the flying debris. *Damn it, I was sure I timed that move exactly right, this whole super speed is definitely throwing me off.* She swore to herself.
Suddenly, Hawk felt his head snap backwards and he slumped to the ground, stunned and bleeding from the nose. Superspeed punch, he thought. Never saw it coming...
In an instant, Dove was standing over her partner, prepared to defend him with her life. keeping her eyes alert and trying to pinpoint Zoom at the same time, she slowly knelt down and was about to see How bad Hawk was hurt but before she knew it, Hawk was crashing through another wall. From her perspective, Zoom hadn't so much as twitched a muscle.
*Alright this lunatic's movements are definitely way too chaotic for my liking. I'd like to map out more strategic defense but first I have to get my partner back on his feet and hope his body has already started healing itself. Out of all our powers, speed healing is the one I think I'm most grateful for.*
"Stop right there, Zoom!" J'onn declares, posturing in a manner befitting the last son of Krypton.
Zoom's jaw dropped in surprise. Clearly, the 'Man of Steel' was the last person he expected to see today. "Truth, justice andtheAmerican Waaaaaaay? Where isthe truth foooor Arthurrrr Light, Suuupermannn? Istherejustice for Rosssscoe Dilllllon? Selinaaaaa Kyyyyle? Jason Woodrueor W.E.Zard, Maaaark Dessssmonnnd and EooobardThwwwwaneee? Tell me, Superman?"
Dove heard the sound of Zoom's ramblings as she made a move towards the wall Hawk just crashed through but before she could make more than 2 steps towards him she felt an iron grip around her neck as Zoom's arm wrapped tightly around her and bound her securely in a headlock.
Dove silently cursed herself for her own incompetence with not seeing this coming, wiggling and squirming for all she was worth, trying to figure out possible means of escape while starting to gasp for air. *C'mon Dawn, get your head in the game.*
