Wasp || Something More?

In the workshop of one Tony Stark, the man's focus was on creating new weapons and even new armor for himself including Rhodey and Pepper. Times were changing in this world and with the upcoming battle aganist the doomsday clones, every hero needed something new. These past couple of months have been a bit distracting for him and others due to the situation with Kate. Bottom line is...yes he did send Kate to NY to find the pym particles but send Bruce for backup. It's not like Tony would leave his one of his avengers out there alone, that's not Tony to do that. But Tony and the others shurgged it off, they need to focus on fighting the clones and taking back the world.

As the golden avenger worked, Tony felt comfortable for what he's doing. Hell, he's been working in the workshop for days and months. He's been getting rest and has been eating well, working out mentally and physically. But still he worked in his workshop, never quitting. Using the situation as motivation to never quit or give up. He loved being who he is, yeah Stark can be a jackass and a jerk but he backs it up 100 %. People didn't know who Stark really was. If you hang out with him at work or anywhere, you can see that Tony has the heart of steel. Guess it's others loss but hey, it is what it is. The people who knew Tony would fight with him until the very end, it made Tony feel greatful that he's not along.

Tony had been working allot more then usual lately, working on projects for both himself and some of the other Avengers and had kept most of it a secret, Janet didn't mind though, when he was ready to show his work she'd know, everyone would be surprised and amazed because they always were. She through the halls of the underground Avengers base, looking at the few people that were there at this time.

Landing on the ground the currently inches tall women with wings began to grow to her normal hight of around 5 feet, wings appearing to suck back into her body as she did so. The tapping of high heal type shoes sounded as she walked through the halls she'd not yet been in today. The shoes weren't high heels just for her to clarify. Soon enough she came across something, Tony Stark's workshop, door closed and the sound of power tools hearable through the walls faintly.

Moving toward the door she held out her hand, make it into a fist and knocked on the door, one...twice...three times. The Avenger in gold and black was curious to say the least as to what her metal armoured friend was up to.

Tony continued working until he hear the knock on the door, not once, twice but three times. He stopped as he took off his gloves and putted materials aside. He got a huge cover, spreading it over his work. Tony looked at his watch and saw the time, a break wouldn't hurt. He's been working more these days then he has in years. The world's counting on just not him but other heroes, The Avengers, Justice League, X-Men, the list goes on. From meeting with J'onn J'ones, talking to Cyclops the other day, they were all on the same page. The world can't have clones forever and it's time for a change.

As Tony walked up to the door, he opened it and smiled. "Well hello Jan, it's good to see you" Tony told her as he letted her inside. "Come on in and have a seat. I've been working on some stuff", he said to her. Tony didn't mind the people visiting him, or wanting to talk to him about dealing with the doomsday clones. It's better than putting all your mind into work and nothing else to be honest. "So what brings you by?", Tony asked her as he got a wattle bottle, starting to drink, taking a sip of it before putting the cap back on. He crosed his arms as he listened to the golden wasp speak.

Jan smiled as she walked into the work shop Tony had made himself probably a long time before in this underground base, they couldn't very well use their above ground one that was for sure. She smiled and sat down as he'd offered and looked around at the various tools which surrounded the room, sure there were some hidden tools as well.

Near where Tony had set is water bottle was something trapped. "Weeeeeel." she said slowly, this was a dead give-away that she wanted to know something: "I was just curious to see what you were working on, if I can see it though can you tell me about it?" she asked. A large grin plastid on her face as she spoke, eyes filled with curiosity and something close joy, not rally though, few people had experienced much joy since the invasion of the Doomsday Clones and until they were gone, Jan doubted very much true joy would be had.

"Wanna tell me?" she asked once more, leaning forward with her elbow on her knee and head in hand as she watched him.

Tony noticed the large grin on her face as Iron Man smiled, that’s Wasp for ya. She always knew how to put a smile on your face when you’re down and out. From the times he knew Jan, she can be stubborn and never give up on anything that got in her way, not even Hank. He was always concerned about Wasp when her and Hank started having difficulties, Tony would walk down the hallways of the mansion hearing there arguments. Even when he went to sleep he could still here him. Now that Jan is safe and here in the mansion, the place can use some cheering up. “Sure, I can show you what I have worked on so far”, he said as Tony got up. “Follow me”, Tony told her as he and Jan walked up to the table where Tony was working on as he pulled off the cover….

“Feast your eyes Wasp on the new armor I am working on, which is almost done” , he said. “The Mark VII Armor is brand new. It’s designed for the best protection and has many advanced weapons for combat”, Tony explained as he showed Jan different parts of the armor. “In it has such things like repulsor rays, uni beam, missiles, HUD and the whole nine yards. That’s all I will tell you but there’s more to come”, he said to Wasp. “I’ve been working hard on creating new armor and new weapons for the team to use when we go up against the clones. It’s nearly done and when it is, I’ll reveal all of it later”, I told her as Tony took a seat on a stool before sighing. “And it’s good to work, to distract myself from other ‘things’ going on. Anyway how have you been?”, he said and asked, starting washing his hands from the hard work of today so far.

Jan grinned widely as she saw the armour, it was still in the ever-classic colours known by people to belong to Iron Man, Red and Gold, the blue of the Ark rector in the chest, the eyes would be blue as well once the armour was active. Jan smiled and clapped her hands together a few times. "Great job Tony I love it, so it's going to be better then the last armour right?" she asked curiously, pretty sure she already knew the answer.

"So, I was thinking, can you like...make some kind of artificial intelligence like..auto pilots for the other suits? make use of them?" she asked, tilting her head to the side a little as she asked this. If Tony could pull that off it would give them at least somewhat of backup if really needed, the more help they could get the better off they'd be and a few extra Iron Man suits would be biiiig help.

Tony chuckled a bit at her question. “Oh come on Wasp, all of the armor I have and created is best. I just upgrade it just like this one” he told her, “Though I am thinking about which armor to use. I have a lot Jan and I need the right one to make for when we go up against the clones. But this can always be a backup, I got plenty more where this came from” Tony explained as he touched the armor, feeling it. The feeling’s good and felt like he can be in this suit and go off, venturing to other parts of the world. Iron Man is a hero and saves lives…..not destroying and using for other purposes.

Then hearing Jan’s question, Tony scratched his chin and thought about it. Auto pilot for other suits? Hmmm…that might work. Tony never thought of it before and this time might work. “Well I have to see what I can do but that wouldn’t hurt one bit. Nice thinking Jan, you always think ahead to better and brighter things” he complemented and smiled at Jan. To Tony, Wasp is like a sister that he never had. At times when Tony couldn’t leave the team due to personal problems or Stark Towers, the Wasp took charge of the team.

A sly smiled slipped onto her face, replacing the smile that had been there seconds before. She liked this idea as well, auto pilot for the other suits. "Well I figured since you have all the older modules of the suits in storage or something once you make a new one, why not make use of them right?" she explained, placing her hand on the newest in the long line of red and gold tech filled armour.

"Hmmm...it needs like, some kind of cloaking field or something, you know so you an go all invisable for surprise attacks and like....disappear for to have time to charge your super attacks or something? Well unless you already have that." she advised. In truth she thought it was a great idea, even kinda wanted one herself.

Janet cared for Tony far more then she would openly admit at this point, he was her best friend, her family and the person she'd tell anything to.

“Ahhh….something invisible or cloaking?” he asked Jan, scratching his own chin. “That doesn’t sound like a bad idea. I think I have an suit armor that goes in stealth mode and can be invisible too. I can create more armor like that. Good one Jan” Tony told Wasp and it’s no secret, like before, times are changing now. New threats are coming to earth and everyone needed an upgrade, especially Tony himself. The armors that he had over the years could work but not all of them, only one can do the job. It was like the clones didn’t want to stop there time on earth but that will come to an end.

“So, anything else you would like me to show you?” Tony asked Jan. He couldn’t help but wonder and notice if it’s something else that she wants. Tony would always be open if she wanted to talk to him about something on her mind, something that’s bothering her, or anything else.

She watched her friend's expressions as he thought over her latest armour power-up pitch and began to think perhaps it wasn't her place to advise Tony on something he already knew more about then she did but she didn't want to risk the possibility of losing her friend to those freak clones the stupid government had made. What had they been thinking, Oh, we'll make a bunch of clones that can never be beaten easily and they'll listen to us cause we're the awesome government. Yeah riiiiiiight!

Jan leaned against the desk, hand to her chin, fingers tapping her chin in thought. What did she want..she didn't know really. "Can we get me some kind of power booster? I'm gonna be pretty useless against the clones all small and I can't really go all huge for very long so.." she trailed off and let Tony think on it.

Jan was always good at coming up with questions. The ones that can make the person think more about creative ideas and creative answers. Tony started thinking about what she said, even though he could see it happen, Tony wouldn't say not to Jan. "How about this? And i'll do this for everyone. Make a list for what you what and I will TRY my best to make it, if not then I can't. Not saying no but i'll give it my best and see how it goes", he told Jan. Stark wouldn't give up on what he creates, knowing it takes hard work, glitches, and all, Iron Man loved the competition. He loves being in the spotlight but also loved his work and got to learn everything about his creations. It brought him back to the days when his father showed him the ropes. Tony could never forget his father and always remembered him by working hard and achieving his accomplishment. Suddenly he remebered one thing he forgot to tell Jan.

"Oh, there's something I want to talk to you about" , Tony said. "A few weeks ago Bruce and Kate Bishop aka Hawkeye Jr went to New York City. Now I sent her and Bruce to the Avengers Mansion and find the Pym Particles", he explained to Jan, something that she knows about very well since working with Hank at the times. "It was a mission success. They found the particles and Bruce is making plently more as we speak...well ever since they got back. Bruce has been working very hard on them. At first it was diffucult but he got it which is good", he told Jan. "After were done here check on Bruce to see how he's doing. You're an expert at the Pym Particles too and when the day comes...we'll use it on the clones...shrink them....and like Hulk says.....smash" , he said and at the end, Tony smiled at the thought of Jen and Bruce destroying the clones, who shrunk so small they couldn't stand a chance at earth's mightiest heroes.

The women laughed then, laughed at the mental images she was now getting stuck inside her brain of the Doomsday clones all small and her healed shoe coming doenw upon them...it was beautiful. "Oh you guys ARE awesome, my brain loves that idea." she chirped happily before getting serious again, odd...Jan being serious with very few intervals of sarcasm between serious moments. "Yeah, I'll make a list and go check on Bruce, maybe I'll make everyone some lemon aid too." she added as an afterthought. In truck she was completely serious about the lemon aid thing, or coffee or something. She knew they had to have some stores of the stuff hidden around.

"We'll take back the world one city at a time then...once we have it all back, have a massive party to celebrate. Dibs bringing the drinks." she said once more happy, Jan liked her plan very much, specially the after-party thing;

Tony liked the way Jan thinks. Wasp in Tony’s view was the one who loved to party, just like him, not recklessly though. When the Avengers first started, Jan was always there for the team and for Tony too whenever they lost a battle or couldn’t save anyone. Tony and the others were grateful for Jan, even thought she wasn’t the only woman on the team. The Wasp loved the action and adventure, always showing her support to the team and fighting till the end. “A party? I like it a lot. Maybe we can have it at Stark Towers once the clones are done for good, invite anyone who could make it”, Tony suggested. “Heck…invite the entire world….but anyway, it’ll be fun“, he told her with a smile. It wouldn’t be that much fun like his birthday party and we all know how that went.

“But anyway, I know, I know…I may have told you this gazillion times but it’s just so good to have you back”, he said. “I mean really….most times when you weren’t here it was sometimes sadness and anger but with you….things are getting better day by day, month by month…well you know the deal”, he told her and chuckled a bit before finishing up his water bottle. “But I want to ask you something and be honest”, he said to Jan. “Are you here for something else? I take it’s something good”, he told Jan as Tony crossed his arms and listen to the Wasp. He felt that she came here more than what she wanted, she might as well just get it out in the open.

She stared at him, stared at her best friend and thought for a moment. She was no good at talking about feelings anymore though she had been with Hank Pym but that was a long time ago and as she knew that hadn't ended well at all. She thought about that for several seconds in silence. Hank had become different, he'd argued with her till it had eventually become something bad of physical nature. She shook her head slightly at that thought.

Tony and the other avengers had been there for her, had made everything baarable when it otherwise wouldn't be. She knew they'd heard their arguments a few times, when the physical abuse stuff happen she'd kept her mouth shut at the beginning because she thought simply the she was a hero and needed to be strong like one. That hadn't ended well at first but she'd left him quickly though
. Doomseday had happened and she hadn't been expecting that neither had the government though. She'd thought the clones that wrier made wouldn't last long, how wrong had she been.

Jan shook her head slightly once more before looking at her friend. "Well I...uhhh...." she couldn't think of what to say to this, didn't know what to do so she spit out the first thing she could think of. "Would you like to go somewhere later like...to...I don't know, somewhere the clones aren't? You know just to talk or something about not work stuff?" she asked a bit unsure of herself at this point.

The Wasp was unsure about why she was here, Tony can see that in her. It was like she was nervous about what to say, but this is Tony Stark were talking about. Iron Man can handle anything that one of his friends or family had to tell him, good or bad. He had a feeling that Jan wanted to say something to him but heard her out and nodded his head. Tony wouldn't put any pressue on Jan or push the issue because it would be like exposing someone's private life. Tony would not be the person to really do that to Jan, not here, now or anywhere else.

"Sure Wasp, anything you say. We can talk about it whenever you feel like it, there's no pressure", he told her as Tony put his hands on her shoulder. "But listen to me when I say this, if you need any help or in trouble, let me stand by you. You my friend are not alone, you got me and the rest of the avengers got your back and that's the truth", he told her and meant every word of it, giving her a big hug. Jan deserved so much more in life and now with everything going on, it was just so good to have her here at the base.
