~ Psychological Profile ~
Personality: Kara Zor-El is a very independent girl, the type of person who would rather do things for herself than ask for help. This can make her appear arrogant at times and often angers others without truly meaning it. She feels a constant need to prove herself as a capable fighter amongst the other heroes, sometimes leading her to act too brashly. Like her brother, Supergirl is dedicated to fighting for what is good though she has a bit less morality than what the code heroes abide by. Kara is also still a teenaged girl who often feels homeless and insecure, and even seeks for possible romance.
History: Kara lived much of her early life on the highly advanced world of Krypton with her respected scientist uncle and father. Then at the age of 16 her uncle predicted the end of the world coming very soon. Despite being known for their great intellect the combined minds of her uncle and father were not enough to prove their theory. This caused the house of El to be cast into shame. Just before the planet Krypton exploded Kara's cousin Kal-El, or Superman, had been safely extracted from the planet and sent to Earth in a small rocket.
Kara pleaded with her parents to remain on the dying planet of Krypton with her parents until the very end. Despite this they decided it for the best to have her put into a space ship and sent to Earth to protect her infant cousin. Kara's ship had just begun to leave the planet when the explosion happened, ripping the world apart and sending Kara's ship flying into space. Thrown off course and covered with Kryptonite, the ship put Kara into a suspended animation until it finally found Earth through the Gotham City Harbor.
Batman was the first to discover a traumatized Kara, who was also know suffering memory problems due to long-term exposure to low-level Kryptonite poisoning. However the ship had kept Kara fully powered with artificial yellow solar radiation which allowed her to escape from him. Confused and alone Kara began to wreck havoc within a nearby city until found once again by Batman, though this time Superman had also come.
Superman and Batman both helped train Kara in combat before taking her to the Amazon island of Themyscira. There she had undergone training from Wonder Woman and found a happy secluded life of peace. Donning a costume that strongly resembles that of her brother Superman, Kara has taken on the persona of Supergirl to explore the world with her own eyes and prove herself the superhero everyone expects her to be and more.
RP Sample: Supergirl clenched her fists at the sight before her, forcing herself to use every ounce of willpower not to break down this very second. A sick feeling surged through her stomach as her eyes came upon a bloody heap of clothes laying motionless. Almost instantly dark memories flashed through her mind in quick recession, the final images of Krypton as the explosion ripped the ground asunder. With a terrible scream Supergirl was unable to take anymore and threw her hands to her sides, letting all the mixed emotions burning through her heart vent out.
She felt so powerless, unable to help the innocents that lay dead or dying, all do the rampant Doomsday clones scattered throughout the city. Pouring all her frustration into her hands Supergirl fell to her knees and stuck the earth with both fists. Immediately the pavement beneath her cratered inward with a thunderous rumble that shook nearby buildings. How could all this have happened? Even Kal-El.. Superman couldn't stop the Doomsday clones. Everything suddenly felt hopeless, as if the realization that Earth was coming to an end was finally sinking in. The same feeling when Krypton was doomed to explode and killing off her entire race.
No! Supergirl struck the earth again as her anger poured into resolve. Never again! Another slam. This time I will save the planet, or at least die trying so I won't have to witness the end again! Raising from the impact she had made in the ground Supergirl cracked her knuckles and then her neck. One of the Doomsday clones had to be nearby, and Supergirl felt ready to kick some ass. With this as her only goal she took off in flight in a random direction for any sign of the creatures.
