It begins part II (Plot thread)

The ships that had split off from Zarda’s headed for the Baxter Building the ship itself was mostly filled with the remolded Doom Bots well they weren’t called that anymore they didn’t really have a name. Fairchild wasn’t that good at naming things. But they were big and high tech as well as being what get’s rid of these damn clones. Once Fairchild had finished hooking them up that is and for that she needed to get into the Baxter building. When the ship had reached the drop zone over the building Fairchild got up heading to the end she opened the cargo bay doors and jumped out she couldn’t fly but she would be able to survive the fall she was soon followed by the robots unlike her they could fly. They all landed near the crater she had made the other people that were going to help her where floating down or flying if they could.

“Scan the area.” she commanded before she made any move towards the building. “The area is empty.” came the reply of one of the robots. “Let’s go we don’t have all day.” she headed for the building that was in a lot better shape then anything else in the city. Leave it to Reed to make sure that happened even though he had been killed in an attack. It was a little amusing sharing an elevator with a bunch of robots. Pushing her amusement aside the doors opened to Reeds lab which was still in pretty good shape. “Time to get to work boys.” they filed out and she hit the computers getting them started up. After getting the computes up and going she was able to look everything over this could take a while to get it all set up. Fairchild sighed and got to work typing away like a mad woman to break into the computers. Reed was smart in setting up traps but she was smarter and was by passing them but she still had a ways to go. But she wasn’t the only one working on it some of the robots had hooked themselves in and was breaking through the traps he had set up faster then she was. If all goes well she’ll have control of the N-Zone before the hour was up. Then she could finish her work on the robots and send them out to the others they’d suck in the clones through there chests.

Just a few blocks away, Hal was flying towards the ruins of Stark Tower, or was it called Avengers Tower? He could never seem to remember which it was. Shaking his head, getting back on track, he landed on the roof, where Sentry's home had rested, shortly before his death, before opening the door and entering the tower. He was a bit surprised at how well the building, considering it had only a few cracked windows, after being attacked by the clones. It spoke volumes about it's designer and builders. "Green Lantern here. Heading down to the Stark's old office. Let you know when I'm there." He was thinking about changing his codename, since he was nolonger affiliated with the Corps or Guardians, but every knew him as such, and coming up with things like that really wasn't his style. He sighed, and just decided that, atleast for the time being, he would keep it.

As he made his way down the stairwell, he projected a map construct of the building, which he had scanned into his ring from a copy that one of Zarda's people had stolen from somewhere. It made his job easier, so he didn't complain about it, not that there was anyone to complain to, anyways. As he approached the floor where Tony Stark's office was, Hal scanned the entire floor for any alarms that would alert the clones or anyone else that he was there, which would put the operation in jeopardy. When he couldn't detect anything, he walked out and onto the floor, and down the hallway, to the office. He was amazed that, when he walked over to the computer and flipped the power switch, everything still worked, though he did have to wipe the dust off of the screen and key board. "I'm in. Get ready, and clear your mind, and I'll link us." He wasn't exactly sure how this was going to work, as he plugged the device Fairchild had given him, into one of the computer's ports, before opening the ring's AI to it. Somehow, the device was suppose to link Fairchild to the ring, and the ring to the computer, though it sounded a bit science fiction to him. Still, since he was no computer genius, he wasn't about to question her.

War…..not a pretty sight to be in. The sounds of guns going off, explosions erupting, people dying in bloodshed, expecting the unexpected…that’s what a part of life is all about. Tony knew what it was like to be in war, as Iron Man, he’s faced his enemies, The Mandrian, Obadiah Stane, Ivan Vanko, Loki, they all presented a challenge and Tony defeated them, but not alone. It was him and his team…The Avengers that fought against the battles that no one else couldn’t and succeeded no matter how difficult it became. When the doomsday clones came they were unprepared, not ready to face these dangerous foes that the U.S government released. Lives were lost, heroes such as Superman are now gone, none of them can’t be brought back to life. The past is the past and here we are in the future, one that can be decided on a day like this…..a day like no other. The entire world or what’s left of it is still watching on everyone. Now after all those times or preparing and studying the clones, there weakness, finding new ways to defeat the monsters…now is the time to battle…now is the time to focus…now is the time to fight as one until the battle is won.

Tony briefed in the rest of the Avengers before heading out, going over the details of the clones, there weakness and what can be used to defeat them. Tony wouldn’t be using his regular armor….oh no, he decided to use the Hulkbuster Armor MK II with some added adjustments that would be revealed during the fight. One thing is for certain, Tony would be coming out of this alive or dead, so remaining alive is the best option because these clones can be dangerous and vile. The Golden Iron Avenger wouldn’t give up though, he would fight his way through this through all stages of this and come out victorious with his avengers. Every avenger was at there assigned location as Tony landed the quinjet in a safe location before getting out. He tapped his communication device twice (which he gave to his teammates) before speaking. “Okay everyone, good luck out there and lets kick these clones back to where they came from”, he told them as suddenly he looked up at the sky seeing the Hulkbuster Armor MK II arrived and landed. “Right on que”, he said and smiled before making a command at the suit. The Hulkbuster Armor MK II opened up with Tony getting inside and it accepted him, closing it as he and the suit are now one.

All the sensors are now on as Iron Man now starts to make the commands. “Alright Jarvis…ready to smash some clones?”, he asked. “Yes I am sir but there is one thing I must tell you before we depart to the location”, he said to him as Tony was a little impatient but had some time. “Okay but not for long”, Tony told the artificial intelligence. “Someone is in Stark Towers and appears to be hacking inside one of the computers of your office sir”, Jarvis explained as Tony was confused. "Really? Well right now is not the best time to go after the person. Try your best to stop whoever it is because right now we have date with destiny", Tony told Jarvis as The Iron Man took off from where he landed straight into heart of the city as he saw the clones. Then flying faster he ran into a clone head first and put his iron hand in the clones mouth. As the clone tried his best to fight it, Tony blasted the clones mouth really hard as he heard the clone scream loudly. "Ugh! Hurts my ears for heaven's sake", Tony said, sighing but laughed a bit before a smirk appeared on his face.

"Alright...Avengers....ASEMMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!", he yelled into each and everyone's commun sets before firing off blasts aganist each clone in his way.....it's on now.

Avengers Assemble

She'd heard Tony's explanation Tony gave on clones. She frowned and nodded at each and every explanation before a large set of Iron Man armour flew into view and landed on the ground for Tony to get into. She nodded to herself silently as she thought about the armour, it was the Hulkbuster Mark Two and that made it interesting. She smiled slightly as she thought about her and Tony's earlier conversation a few weeks before this, had Tony done what he said her would, he'd told her he was working on new parts for his armour, she'd suggested a few herself for him, ideas that had popped into her head.

She'd go with Tony for a little bit, not very far but upon his departure, the women clothed in black and gold shrunk for feet in size to here inches. When the call to assemble had come once more, she grinned: She'd missed that. Tony came into the clones lines of view and began to fight them. Swooping into a clone onto the left side, a clone that had not been noticed by her armour clad friend.

Her hands blazed gold as the energy of her blasts shot out over and over again at the clones, aiming toward it's mouth. She thought it was funny that she could cause such damage by shooting this guy in the mouth. She smiled flew, dodging each and every attack she could, blasting the clone over and over without a word. Soon the clone fell to the ground and Jan landed on top ofi t, size returning to normal as her energy for her attack grew in her bits, only to be blasted by a powerful force, hard enough that it removed the clones head, dell the bottom half. She was tired now, a little not much but at least it meant less clones.

Man Dr. Doom had a lot of high tech stuff she had thought most of it was all magic boy was she wrong and lucky. After taking apart what was left of the Doombots Caitlin rebuilt them bigger and better then before plus they weren’t all creepy looking now as her sister Rox said they were pretty badass now and gave her approval. After they were done she wanted a few other useful things for herself and to help her out today that’s why she built the device she had given to Hal before they left the island earlier today. One other thing she had built was cybernetic sunglasses those things took a long time to build but she managed it.

Taking out the cybernetic sunglasses she put them on and linked into the device and Hal’s ring a lot more powerful then her sunglasses they not surprising since the ring was alien. It did make things a lot easier, an iconographic keyboard appeared before her and she begin to hack into the computer leaving her other work to the robots they were more then able to get into the computers alone. “Got it Hal.” things where going smoothly until she had an unwanted guest someone was trying to stop her from getting into the computers. "Hold on got a bit of a problem shouldn't be to hard to deal with using two super computers." Fairchild smirked as she went to war with this other person they were good but she was better with the help of Hal’s ring she was able to trap the other person in a loop while she finished hacking into the computers. It kind of made her wish she had a ring of her own it's not like she doesn't wear green already. “I’m in you should be able to copy the files now. Get a hold of me when your at the next place and I‘ll get you in there.”

The Power Ring was far more advance than anything on the planet, as to be more like magic, so it had no problem outwitting Jarvis, especially with Fairchild steering it to the files she needed. Still, this required a great deal of concentrating, other wise the ring could easily burnout not only this computer, but any others it might be connected to, which included Fairchild's tech glasses and Jarvis. The sweat beaded and poured down Hal's forehead, as he shout out every sound, sight, and thought that was not connected to his mission, which left him open to attack, even though he was well aware that there could be clones or other enemies, hiding and waiting, to attack.

"Understood. Ring, you heard the lady. Copy all files she needs, and then send them to where she commands." The Ring responded with a 'Understood', before downloading the date that she guided it to, and sending it to the Baxter Building computers and Doombots. This was taxing on Hal, holding all that power incheck, making sure that Zarda's team got what they were after, without destroying everything. As Alan Scott would say, 'it's like running a Marathon, while playing chess, in your head'.

With everything going on, Tony could never do two things at once. Dealing with clones and trying to stop someone from hacking into his old office of Stark Towers. Tony then decided on one thing and one thing only. "Jarvis, forget about the hacker but do me one thing. Get the cameras in the room to take a picture, then send it to me. No questions asked" he ordered Jarvis throwing one clone into the other. "Understood sir", Jarvis said as the AI stopped and let the person, whoever it was hacking into the computer. That person would be dealt with later but now these clones needed to go away for good. With the Hulkbuster II armor he fought like hell when it came to the clones, blasing them, even in there mouths and ripping off there heads.

Looking over at his freind, teamate and ally who looked like she needed some help so with that Tony flew over to her aid. "Hey Wasp, need help?", he said and asked, taking clone and throwing it into the air before catching it and striking down into the ground head first. Tony wasn't a man who didn't care about anyone because he did care. This is the man who looks out for his teammates, his avengers, his allies unlike others who used them for petty stuff (cough cough Zarda). Once he was finished with a clone he looked over at The Wasp . "How are you holding up?", he asked her and wanted to know. From the looks of it, she can handle things herself but felt little tired. "Dont use up all your energy, we got more to deal with", he told her and smiled before blasting another clone.

She watched as Tony intervened in her little fight with the Doomsday clone, a smile slipping onto her face as the clone smashed into the ground. It wouldn't be taken out quite yet, not that easily at least. Her hands began to glow gold as the energy built up and unleashed it upon the downed clone, insurance to make sure the clone was down for good! "Zombie Land teaches you one thing to pay attention to, Double tap, always double tap." she stated, as if it were somewhat obvious.

Upon hearing Tony's question Janet looked at him quickly and nodded her head. "Oh yeah, I'm good." she informed him quickly. A thought struck her as she remembered the conversation she and Tony had had only weeks earlier. "Not the time to ask but were you able to make that thing I requested before?" she asked simply.

(lets assume Wasp asked for some like, power enhancing gauntlets or something.)

Normally it’d take a while for all this stuff to download but using a supercomputer and whatever the hell Hal has it was way to high tech to be a supercomputer it was like the ultimate supercomputer she realized the more she worked with it. It didn’t take that long to find and take the files she was after. “I got it Hal destroy the computers and get your ass out of there.” Fairchild said before pulling out the flash drive she put the cover on it making it look like a mini chainsaw it was the only one she could find she couldn’t spare the parts to make her own so it had to do. She handed it off to one of the men near by. He wasn’t going to be going into combat so it should be safe with him for the time being. Not only did it hold Starks files it also had Reeds that was a lot easier to get since she was right there and was already breaking into the computer.

Fairchild went over to her toolbox grabbing a few things she went to work on the first robot and begin making the last few adjustments needed before they were to be launched into the sky over the city. They were going to get rid of the clones once they were thrown into the air of course sending them to the N-Zone by creating a massive portal in the sky. She had a long list of safety protocols put into place just in case something went wrong. She had covered pretty much everything so no one should get hurt from it aside from the clones themselves. But they didn’t count if they were destroyed all the better.

Being in full costume, as well as the fact that most the people who knew he was Hal Jordan were dead, he wasn't worried about pictures being taken, not that he was aware of it, though. There was also the fact that most of Stark's tech was easy to 'work around' and mess with, via his ring and Fairchild's hacking skills. Hearing her command, he pumped up the energy, causing the mainframe to blow like an over filled waterballon, sending pieces of plastic, glass, and copper flying everywhere, along with electric sparks pooping up off from the exposed wires and circuit boards. He quickly formed a fire exstiquisher construct, to put out what flames popped up, before phasing out and flying out of the tower.

He was tempted to fly to the Baxter Building to see if Fairchild's team might need a little help, when he spotted a group of clones, running in the streets, below him. Knowing the damage they were capable of causing, and wanting to kill as many as he could anyway, he formed a double edged battle axe, similar to one Hawkman Carter Hall, and flew straight at the lead clone, cleaving it in half. "For Coast City!" Hearing his cry, clones from other areas of the city headed his way, each looking to rip him apart, with their bony claws and bare hands, though that would be easier said than done. For the first time in months, Hal smiled, before charging again, this time cleaving the heads off of two more, before enlarging the axe to the size of a building, and bringing it down on the first group, killing them instantly. His smile grew even bigger, when he heard the screams and grunts of more clones, surrounding and getting ready to charge him. "So, you're not as dumb as you look. Well then, come and get me, you ugly bastards!" The axe was replaced by two scimitars, as he he waited for them to charge him.

Now wasn't a good time to ask any questions as Iron Man, The Wasp and other avengers were battling the clones in New York City. But since she asked Tony remembered that talk they had down at the base days or weeks ago and Tony smiled. “Coming right up!” he told Jan while blasting his repulsors at a clone. “Jarvis, activate THE brand new armor for The Wasp”, he instructed as he fires off more repulsors at the clones including some missiles at them. Back at the Avenger jet, an amor came out flying to where the Wasp and Tony were as it arrived. Iron Man knew Jan would be excited about this, really excited. He could see her know just geeking out and trying it on, even when there are clones in the city. That really wouldn’t happen but if did, then it would be kind of funny.

Firing off more repulsors and even Pym particles at the clones (as they shrunk), what Tony ordered, came to him and Wasp right in front of them. “Here you go Wasp with protective armor and high-powered stinger-blasts” he said to her before hearing more ruckus as Tony looked over, seeing The Green Lantern, Hal Jordan killing more of the clones. “Well….I guess the green ring really does do some damage on those things. Oh well….it’s the clones fault not the heroes” he said as he looked at Wasp. “Go ahead, get in it and try it out…you’ll thank me later for it” he told her as The Iron Man smiled under his helmet. He would do anything for his avengers including Jan because they matter to him. Without the others, Tony would be breaking his sobriety and just being a punch drunk, nothing else.

She gawked at the new armour as it flew toward the two Avengers at a pretty decent speed. It could probably go faster but it was good that it kept that little bit for later on. Jan's eyes widened and she flew over to the armour, circling it and looking it over carefully with utter glee. "Oh-my-god-Tony!" she exclaimed. "This is sooooooo cool, like, way cooler then I was expecting, seriously this is gonna rock." she rambled. Jan was now in total geek mode now, clones or no clones geek mode had to happen.

Moving into the red, gold and silver coloured armour, she grinned. Moving her hands toward two of the clones the armour began to do what it did, charged repulser blasts and fired the far stronger repulser based sting attacks at the clones. Both fell toward the ground as she launched two more at each clone over and over again, killing them. "And another one bites the dust." she stated happily.
