Was this how’s suppose to end? Like this laying in a pool of her own blood watching the clouds float by until she slipped off into the darkness that is the afterlife whatever that might be? This wasn’t what Lara had planned when she finally died she had hoped it would be doing something she enjoyed like looking for some lost artifact not like this but the only good thing that came out of it was saving those children. The bad thing was she had crossed paths with an old friend and one time girlfriend back in school Julia Carpenter. Julia will never know what had happened to Lara because she had taken off on her own told her she’d be back soon and not to worry. That wasn’t going to happen now.
Why was it taking so long to die? That was a thought that popped into Lara’s head while something circled over head a vulture? No it was far to big to be a vulture and white. The creature landed next to Lara “How disappointing I was hoping to be the one to kill you instead it was one of those mindless beasts. You always were the hero.” Lara looked over at the winged woman the Atlantean Goddess Jacqueline Natla dressed all in white with her blonde hair tied up she had massive demonic looking wings. She stood at six foot eleven so she towered over Lara. Natla bent down and picked up Lara “You know it’d be so easy to just finish you off here and now. But I have other plans for you Lara, but first I have to make you more obedient.” she spread her wings before taking flight heading towards a secret location.
It was a short trip or at lest it seemed that way Natla could fly very fast when she wanted to. She had to this time she didn’t want Lara to die as much as part of her did. Lara had been a thorn in her side for years. But what she had planned for the mortal woman was far worst then death. Natla placed Lara on an alter before getting to work using all of her powers she infused Lara with a thrall rebuilding her broken body. Not only had her body been restored but she also looked very different. Lara’s hair was more redish her skin was paler with dark colored veins all over her body but can been seen clearly on her arms and neck under the leather waistcoat with zippers she now wore along with leather pants with a double buckled belt and dual pistol leg holsters, Black boots and black fingerless biker gloves. But the one thing that stuck out was her eyes they were no longer brown but a golden color with sliver pupil's that glow faintly in the light but much brighter in the darkness.
Natla stood there watching her new toy look herself over before getting tired quickly. “Ohk Ehsivar! Bow before your goddess.” she commanded. Lara got up off the alter and bent down to one knee, and lowered her head, showing her submissiveness to the goddess who laughed. This was to good. “I have many plans for you Lara but right now I have other things to tend to return to the world. I’ll summon you when I need you. Go, I no longer want to look at your face.” That said Natla turned her back on the woman just as she stood up and ran off back into the world with no memory of her past she had her skills and shadow powers that came with being a thrall but remembered no one.
