The stuff a person is prone to run into when out and about in the world, esepcially a world like this one can be very interesting. Roughly once every week, Julia has been moving to a new area, she carries a country map with her that has very detailed pictures and locations of every county, using land markers and roads and a modified pedometer to track her movements across the countryside. With her she’s lugging a huge psychic webbing caccoon filled with all her most meaningful possessions and most of her daughters toys.
She is searching for her daughter across the entire country one county at a time, she carries a picture with her and shows it to every one she meets. Today she is about to happen upon a small town with a population of about 40,000 people surrounded by forest lands in upper new york.
Currently she is web slinging through the tree tops. She doesn’t bother with her arachne outfit any more, her identity was outed during the civil war any ways, besides, why bother hiding when she has nothing to lose? So she’s tarzaning it up through the red woods heading directly for the town, it is far enough away from any major city it might not have been hit by dooms day clones, though that’s very unlikely.
She’s barefoot wearing some skin tight cargo shorts that are filled with little utility items, flint, tender, lighters, fishing line, general survival goods and some basic tools. Each hip is sporting a harness that carries a huge hunting knife each. Strapped to her back is sniper scoped 30.06 long range rifle and a back pack that has extra ammo, protein bars and water. Over her chest she is wearing just a simple bra, it’s actually not a simple bra, it’s a lacy push up victoria’s secret bra that is black and pink, it’s very sexy. Over that she’s wearing a button up long sleeve white tee shirt that is curve hugging and obviously designed for a female. It’s left unbuttoned all the way down though, leaving Julia’s sexy toned abs exposed, which are covered in sweat since she’s been web slinging for practically days straight now.
As she comes across the horizon, she sees smoke in the distance and the closer she gets the more she hears the screams. Just as she is about to arrive, a couple of doomsday clones fly into the sky, arachne quickly hides behind the biggest tree she can find and uses her telepathy to track their location. She isn’t entering their minds, just ‘listening’ for their presence. To her relief, they leave quickly, but then she begins to feel all the pain and suffering in the town she was approaching. It would seem Arachne was correct, this town hadn’t been hit by the clones, until now.
She picks up the speed and races to the scene as fast as she can, there is no way she can save an entire town from burning to the ground, but she can at least help organize. As she suspected the town was in chaos, it took her a few minutes to get a group organized, but she would send them out to help put out fires, one guy that could drive large trucks was sent to the old fire department to see if he can get the trucks running.
One building in particular drew Julia’s attention since it was filled with orphaned children. Several of the kids were standing out front of it crying because many of their friends were inside and the few women that had been in charge of taking care of them were laying dead on the side walk infront of them, so Julia swings. The building is unstable, it’s only two stories and a basement but more than enough to kill anybody caught inside when it collapses. After she collects some information from the frantic children standing outside, she rushes towards the building.
She starts by grabbing a near by car, she lifts it and wedges it against the building since a quarter of the lower level had apparently been taken out, with luck the old boat of a car would have a sturdy enough frame to support the building while she moved to rescue every one.
So she sets about the task, rushing in and out, the kids watch her in awe as she performs amazing feats of strength and agility, she brings out nearly every kid except a few that ran down into the basement.
When she gets down there she finds an unconscious woman with what looks like a head wound, and three kids, two of which are also unconscious, she checks pulses to see which ones are alive and which ones aren’t, everybody is alive, and the conscious one refuses to leave the others behind. Julia is preparing to collect everybody she can when the car she had propped up gives up, it shifts and half the upper floors collapse down.
A majority of the weight comes down onto a support beam directly over them, Julia is forced to drop the kids and the woman and throw her hands up in the air to catch the beam. Its very heavy, but Julia should be able to hold it for awhile. There’s just about 6 tons worth of weight on the steel beam above her.
“Oh god! Sweetie you’ve got to run, get out, this place is coming down!”
There is a clear path to the exit above, it’s a bit dangerous with various debris, but a child should be able to navigate it, unfortunately she is paralyzed with fear, she simply clings to Julia and cries. The other three, the adult female and two unconscious kids stir lightly.
Julia proceeds to freak out, she can’t hold the beam and get these people out of her. She starts screaming for help, anybody to come down here and get these kids out of here so she can get out herself maybe, at least, she hopes she’ll be able to get out!
“HELP, SOMEBODY HELP!!!”
She screams at the top of her lungs, as furiously as she can manage, arms stretched up in the air, firmly planted on the underside of that massive steal beam with several tons of wreckage and ruined building coming down ontop of it.

Lara had returned to England and made her way back to Croft Manor to pick up a few things. Surprisingly it was mostly still intact the reason could be because it was out in the middle of no where miles away from the nearest city. It gave her room to train in different skills with out having the neighbors complain about the nose at all hours. She collected a number of different items mostly ammo for her handguns but she also had a number of different things she usually took with her when she goes on trips. If anyone could survive the end of the world it’d be Lara Croft she knew how to live off the land. There had been times she was stuck in places with no food or she ended up losing what food she had brought with her forcing her to hunt or look for bugs, plants to eat.
After collecting what she wanted she left heading to her vault normally she wouldn’t think about using any of these artifacts most of them would be to dangerous to use but there were a few she could take like Wraith Stone. She picked up the stone it had belonged to her best friend Amanda Evert the unknown entity inside it could be of use once she’s learned how to use the stone. Fluffy probably couldn’t kill a clone but keep it busy which was good enough. After putting the Wraith Stone around her neck she walked over and picked up Excalibur she had put back together a few years ago in hopes of finding out what happened to her mother. She had no idea how useful these artifacts would be against but it wouldn’t hurt to try right? With these items in hand she left taking her yacht this time after stocking it.
It took day’s? weeks? She wasn’t even sure anymore things happened so fast people lost track of time but she did make it back to the U.S. and docked before taking another bag she filled it with food mostly and a few first aid kits they each had different things it in could never have to many of either. Once it was full she headed down into the ship to a room she flipped the lights on and there sat her Norton Streetfighter motorcycle she hit another button and the side of the ship opened up and a ramp came out it stopped at the dock. She strapped the bag on the back of the bike before getting on this was probably the last time she would see this ship that was okay it wasn’t the first time she lost a ship. If anyone found it there was still food and stuff for them to take if needed.
Starting the bike up she took off the docks was in ruins that wasn’t surprising anymore as she rode on she noticed this damaged seemed to new that’s when she noticed the bodies they were fresh she also noticed no one was hiding so the Doomsday clones must have moved on. Guess she’ll be staying here a while to try and help these people the best she could. Lara pulled over to park her bike so she could go find someone in charge to see what she could do to help. She didn’t make it far when she heard someone calling for help in a building near by. She took off running towards it as she got closer she could see children and a few adults no one trying to help whoever it was that was inside. Bloody cowards she thought as she ran passed them into the building. It took her a few moments of looking around before she found her way down to where the screaming was coming from. Some super and a bunch of kids and a woman. She didn’t really stop to think of who the woman could be that’s holding up the building she had more important things to worry about at the moment. “Come on now you have to let go love.” she bent down and got the girl loose from Julia’s leg and clung to her before bending down and grabbing the other two kids. It wasn’t easy but she managed to get the three of them out of the building before she went back in to help the woman.

When Laura came in, Julia was able to breath a sigh of relief, she didn't recognize her at first, she was more interested in keeping them all alive, she has managed to keep her strength up, in fact, this isn't that heavy for her, still she wont be able to hold it up for ever.
After a few moments, she got to looking at Laura as she collects the kids, and the unconscious woman, her eyes narrow and she suddenly remembers. A load of memories from her years spent as a confused, love struck horny teenager come rushing back like wild fire across her brain, by the time Laura gets back, Julia is shouting at her.
"Laura Croft, is that you?! Do you remember me?!"
This was probably the last place she -ever- expected to run into her -first- girlfriend, what an odd situation this is, it's not every day something like that crops up. The heart ache, the passion, the sadness, the lust. It was pretty incredible.

Lara stopped what she was doing turning to look at the woman that was holding up the building the woman seemed to know who she was. Wasn’t really shocking she had wrote books and her adventures or the news paper they always seem to find a reason to do something about her. But that wasn’t it she thought about it some more while she helped the woman to her feet. “Julia Carpenter.” that was the only thing she got out before helping the woman outside talking in here really wasn’t a great idea.
Gordonstoun Boarding School in Moray, Scotland was were they met and that was the time where she experimented instead of in university and Julia was the one she experimented for a while until she had been invited by Professor Werner Von Croy to go on a dig in Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The trip didn’t end well and she never came back to the school and that was the last time she saw Julia until today that is. Lara stood outside waiting for Julia to get out of the building hopefully she could because Lara couldn’t do anything to help her.

Now that every one is safe, Julia begins to walk herself towards the exit, one hand at a time on the beam ,one foot at a time, of course the beam gets lower and lower as she goes, when she is nearer to the exit, she decides to cut and run, she lets go of the beam and hauls ass. She barely makes it out as the building collapses, she leaps, lands on a wall, then springs off the wall hard enough to cause the wall to collapse, but she made it, the resulting shock of so much of the building going down causes the rest of it to collapse. Julia comes flying out of the collapsing building at astounding speed, she was jsut blindly leaping without any real direction, she winds up on a collision course with a telelphone pole, but she reacts. Her ability to see the future kicks in and she turns herself over and lands on the side of the telephone pole, sticking to it much like a spider, feet first, then hands on either side of her feet, crouched down, with her long fiery hair hanging off her head.
"Holy Cow that is Laura croft, Damn I never thought I'd see you ever again!"
Julia's mixed feels seem to have burried themselves under joy, she could've just as easily slapped the piss out of Laura for the way she abandoned her. Julia decided it was best to not do that though.
of course the kids are going wild, cheering at her, she reminds them of spider-man so they call her spider-lady, because of the way she moves and how she's currently stuck to the side of a telephone pole.
Laura's pretty much directly under her.

Lara hadn’t moved from where she was she just watched Julia escape the building obviously a lot has changed since Lara last seen her. She had her arms folded under her chest as she stared up at Spider-Lady as the kids called her. Her eyes hidden behind her trademark sunglasses “In the flesh sort of speak. You plan on coming back down so we can talk or stay up there all day?” she hadn’t realized she had hurt Julia all those years ago or that she was still mad at her now. She just thought Julia had got over it and moved on like she had or she would have found her sooner and talked to her about it. But it never happened just wasn’t in the cards. Instead she moved to Switzerland finished school before starting her career as an archaeologist.
An archaeologist and trouble maker/finder her friend Sara Pezzini once said if Lara didn’t find trouble, trouble would find her and she was right of course. Lara never lived a normal life after school she was hardly ever home she traveled the world finding the un-findable and once in a while keeping the world from ending. She’s seen and done things no ones ever done before even the supers as well as doing some not so nice things that probably would have gotten her thrown in jail for a long time. But it was a risk worth taking when needed.

Julia flips off the pole and lands with a perfect ten right in front of Laura, then she pulls the other woman into a hug, it's a sweet embrace. It's a tender then, very gentle, despite how strong Julia obviously is, she still is capable of being very soft.
"That's probably not what you expected, but ...I missed ya. Impossible to forget your first girlfriend, so that was for giving me my first kiss...and this.."
Then when she pulls away and slaps Laura in the face, it's not a harsh slap, not nearly as harsh as Julia is obviously capable of dishing out, but it's quite fierce and will probably leave a mark.
"Is for -abandoning- me without a phone call, or even a letter, do you know how confused I was? How lost? Nobody told me anything, were you alive, dead? Kidnaped? I had no idea. Just gone, and I was heart broken!"
The outburst was probably a bit stronger than Julia had wanted, she thought she could ignore it, swollow it up, but she couldn't, it all just sort of came out suddenly. Julia takes a step back and clenches her hand into a fist, then relaxes it in the same moment. She takes a breath, then bites her lip and looks away, she isn't sure what to do now. She probably shouldn't have said all that just now...

Lara watch Julia flip off the pole landing in front of her then pulled her into a hug she was a little surprised by it. “Not reall--” she had been cut off by the slap. She just stood there in shock staring at Julia over the top of her sunglasses and holding her face. She had been hit harder then that but it still stung. She snapped out of it when she noticed people were staring at them. Julia by the elbow and lead her to an area where no one was at so they could talk alone.
“I’m sorry I know it isn’t much but at the time so much had changed in my life. I was felt betrayed and scared. On that trip with Professor Von Croy. He was going to let me die so he could find an artifact! Instead I was the one who ended up leaving him behind because he had been hurt. That was the first time I left someone to die it’s not an easy thing for a sixteen year old to deal with.” it wasn’t until years later when she was an adult she found out he was still alive. A few years after that he had died for real in her arms before she became wanted for his murder which she had been framed for.

Julia's a pretty emotional person, but she operates typically in ones and zeros, she's either all the way on or all the way off. She operates on carnal instinctual emotions too, it's never really that complex for her, from a point of view on the outside at least. On the inside, Julia is almost always confused and running from base to base, always just barely managing to avoid being tagged out. She follows Lara into the alley. The city they were in was in ruins, but the small task force Julia had assembled earlier seemed to be doing a good job. Sometimes all people need is a little direction.
"Lara I ... Had no idea, but how could I. You disappeared. But I guess you're doing better now. I'm..."
Julia takes a deep breath, then she pulls Lara into another hug, but this one is accompanied by a really passionate kiss, it's a deep kiss, but not forced, if Lara were to resist, Julia wouldn't push her into it.
Once the kiss concludes, Julia blinks her beautiful intoxicating green eyes in a flutter of emotion. By now it is clear that Julia never really let go of her feelings for Lara, maybe all these years and all the women she's slept with have just been in attempt to fill the hole Lara left when she disappeared. A couple of wayward tears trickle from her eyes and she steps away. She looks down and away, then speaks, but when she does, her voice is filled with so much emotion, she can barely speak the words.
"You know, I'm glad to see you."
She could kind of tell from the kiss that Lara wasn't interested in it, the kiss itself, of course Julia has other things going on, life is very complicated. She's recently found herself in the arms of another woman, and she's happy with that woman, but this was all very confusing suddenly, with Lara back. She had spent the last 15 years almost romanticizing her love for Lara into this huge and amazing ideal, a concept to live up to and strive for. It's funny, the tricks our minds play on us.
Course, that's also the reason Julia winds up with more boyfriends than girlfriends. There just aren't many girls out there that can live up to this idealized concept lara had grown to become in Julia's mind. Girls were for fun, since none of them ever really made the cut any ways, except the most recent one that Julia's been seeing. It would take the end of the world for Julia to meet a girl who can finally live up to her expectations though, it's one of those things that really figures.

“I know I couldn’t tell anyone I was afraid I was going to get thrown in jail for the rest of my life. I do okay.” She knows now she wouldn’t have ended up there but when your scared your mind betrays you making you think these things. She hugged Julia back this time and happy she wasn’t going to get hit again until she was kissed she tensed up a bit she wasn’t expecting that either. Julia was the only one she had ever kissed it wasn’t until later she realized women weren’t her cup of tea sort of speak.
Lara really did feel bad for not finding Julia all those years ago and felt worst now about it when she saw the tears. She looked at the ground this was awkward “I’m happy your alive and well.” she really wasn’t sure what to say Julia still seemed to have some feelings for her even though Lara didn’t in the same way anymore. She sighed to herself before looking up at Julia “I do hope we can still be friends?” she asked hoping they can at lest be that much but she would understand if the other woman didn’t want that.

It had all come rushing back, but Juilia was starting to adjust and cope. She rubs her eyes, wipes away the tears, there weren't many of them. She takes a gulp of nothing, maybe pride, maybe pain. She looks into Lara's eyes and nods, slowly at first, but then eagerly after the first few.
"Yeah, I'd really like that. Maybe we can find a place to get a cup of coffee or something and talk. Obviously I changed...you look like you've gone through some changes to, that was some pretty fancy hero stuff back there. Then again, you always were daring"
She reaches to her own hair and grabs a bunch of it, then pushes it up and back, it's kind of a sexy flirty gesture, but she's really just being friendly. Julia's quite confused right now, her feelings tell her one thing but her brain tells her another. She's trying not to flirt with Lara, but it's just happening on it's own.
About that time, a guy comes around the corner, out of breath.
"There you are!"
He shouts, and takes a second to breath.
"there's a building on the other side of town on fire with people in it! The fire trucks are all out of water, it's the last one, we need help and don't know what to do. I... I don't know who or what you are, but please help!"
The guy looks like he's got an emotional steak in it, and at that point, a small crowd had gathered around the alley way, it's not every day people from a small town encounter some one like Julia, picking up cars and moving buildings. They're awed and looking to her for leadership.
Julia looks at Lara with a grave but needy look on her face, like she has to go, and lara's welcome to come help if she cares to.

“That would wonderful love.” Although she wasn’t a coffee drinker maybe she’d get lucky and they’d have tea. It’d probably wouldn’t be anything like she has in England but beggars couldn’t be choosers it’d be better then nothing. “You could say that been training by body since finishing school.” The stories she could tell Julia of the things she’s found as well as done. She was about to leave the ally when someone showed up he wasn’t alone either. She hadn’t said anything she wasn’t sure how helpful she’d be with this fire she couldn’t move as fast as Julia or sick to things to avoid the flames. Lara tilted her head to the side like she was listening for something she turned to the wall next to her there were holes in it easy enough for her to climb. Jumping from where she was she grabbed the first hand hold before moving as far as she could before jumping to the next one and so on until she was on roof. Once up there she looked down the street some sort of huge truck was coming towards them. She pulled out her binoculars from her backpack to get a better look “Bugger.” putting them back she made her way back down. “Your going to have to deal with the fire yourself the Reapers are coming. They follow after the clones taking, raping and killing anything that’s still around. I killed a group of them earlier this year.” she turned to the others still there “Get everyone that’s still alive and hide them and don’t make a sound or your as good as dead. GO!” the people took off to do as they were told. “Go and save those people Julia keep them safe and don’t come after me no matter what.” she grabbed a large dark stone that was hanging from a black choker and pulled it off. She didn’t have this thing before when she dealt with them the first time she wished she had but now she did and hopefully no one will die from them this time. The stone glowed just before a creature near Lara it was about as big as she was. “Come on Fluffy we’re going to go play chicken.”

Julia trusts laura to get work done, she hadn't heard of the reapers, she's annoyed they were coming, but she could only assume that Laura knew what she was doing. She nodded at Laura and then jumped up onto the nearst roof top, then started running roof top to roof top towards the burning smoke, behind her she could see Laura take on the reapers, she sends a telepathic message to her.
"We can communicate telepathically Laura, it's one of my many new tricks. Lets clean house then find some liquor and celebrate. If you get into serious trouble, I'll know. Also I'm kind of reading your thoughts right now, so just fair warning, don't worry i never do it unless there's an emergency, like now."
As Julia approaches the burning building, she simply takes a swan dive off the rooftop, tosses out a psychic web line and swings right into the second story window, crashing through with the shattering of the glass, she moves through the building as quickly as she can.
Doesn't take her long to find two kids an adult, whom she starts to head out with, on the way down she finds two more. Damn this was going to be tricky. She decides the kids are more important and tells the coughing civilians she'll be back.
She moves with preternatural grace and speed, bouncing off walls and doing backflips over burning beams of wood falling down around her. She gets the kids out and the one adult, then goes back inside after more.
((I'd like to note now that Julia can also see the future, so please allow her time to react to anything that might happen, of course she can't always see everything, so its story teller discretion)

Lara jumped when she heard Julia’s vice in her head that was something new and kind of weird. Uh, sure love if we get out of this alive. scratch that it was really weird feeling. She hoped Julia didn’t go poking to deep into her head there are things she doesn’t want any one to know about her past, her pain no one else’s. Fluffy disappeared again as Lara ran off going a different way then she had came in making her way behind the in coming group. She came out behind the truck just as it drove by her hands began to glow a black and red color as she used the stone’s telekinesis power she ripped off one of the tires sending the truck out of control sending it crashing into the ruble of a building hopefully no one was in there.
Putting the stone away she drew her guns as she made her way closer to the crashed truck to see if anyone was alive or dead. As she got closer the door exploded of the side of the truck flying off some place causing her to stop in her tracks watching whoever or whatever get out. She back up some so she had time to react to whatever this thing could do she didn’t want to find out first hand. It then dawned on her that the other’s were missing where were they? Just thing something wrapped it’s self around her ankles pulling her feet out from under her and began to drag her into a building. “You better share her and not eat her all yourself!” yelled the lizard like man that was the driver. That was a wonderful thought to have now Lara really needed to get free she began to try and turn herself over so she could shoot whatever was pulling her into the building. I died once already not going to do it again!

At the point that Laura's mind became a mess filled with images and moments all streaming together in chaotic order, Julia's mind sort of flinched like it'd been punched in the stomach, she pauses her search to refocus. Reading the mind of a person under considerable mental and physical duress was always difficult, but she wasn't going to lose track of Laura, not again.
Julia searches the building basement to rooftop for peopling, as she goes she throws out an endless amount of webbing to support places that were otherwise about to collapse. She is breaking her way through walls and floors and ceilings to get around to avoid fire, carving her own path through the building, one far safer than the inferno that rages around her.
She manages to rescue six other people before the building is completely cleared of human life, there may be rats and bugs, but Julia can't really be assed to try and save them. By the time she gets the last person out, the people who have been working with her to calm the city down and avert the disaster from being worse show up with the fire truck refilled from a local water tower. They start hosing the tower down, but Julia isn't planning on sticking around. The whole thing took her less than five minutes to finish up, but Laura's still on the other side of the city getting her ass kicked. Or well she hopes she's kicking ass. Julia likes being able to swing in and save the day but at the back of her mind and in her heart, she wishes she didn't have to at all.
"I'm coming Laura, Hold on!!"
She takes off the moment she sets the last woman down from inside the building outside, she leaps from street to the top of a near by building and runs at full speed, she launches off the ledge at about 45 miles an hour and clears two buildings in the process. Dive bombing the street she tosses a hand out and throws a webline, it's short, since she's only aiming to swing off a two story building. In small towns like these, dramatic huge long swimgs aren't really possible since there aren't any really tall buildings. New York always was the best for doing that in, actually.
As she comes up out of the swings, she sails through the air at a 45 degree angle, traveling well over 45 miles an hour, she can see Laura in the very short distance from where she is now and intends on arriving with a bang. She webs up her legs and arms and makes herself a literal wing suit out of webbing and starts to fly or rather glide at high speed towards her friend.
