She didn't like hiding in the shadows, making mental remarks of how the Bat should be doing this, and not her, but Renee was asked to stakeout this particular area, while Bruce, Diana, and the rest of the 'Batfamily', stakeout and patrolled other areas of the city. Still, the fact that she agreed to this, and knew that it was something that was needed, didn't stop her from fuming and complaining, atleast not to herself, anyway. She recalled Bruce telling her about several people that had gone out hunting for supplies, and didn't return, only to have their bodies found the very next day, completely drained of their blood. This didn't fit the clones MO, and though she didn't believe in vampires or anything of the like, she agreed to help with the search, anyway. She figured it was a bunch of crazies, out of their mind on drugs, and a couple days trapped in some holding cells would solve things. That, or a couple of rounds to their heads.
Bruce had requested radio silence, until someone made a positive id, or were attacked by clones. Positive id? Sure, I'll just chime in, as soon as I see Dracula's cape and fangs. Though she was being sarcastic, there was a small part of herself that wondered if these murders were indeed the work of a vampire, like Bruce and the others seemed to think, when as if on cue, she heard a blood curdling scream. Not wasting anytime, she pulled out her 9.mm from her hip holster, and ran in the direction of the scream, only to find a man. laying on the street, dead. She knelt down to examine and feel for a pulse, to be certain, when she saw the two puncture wounds in his neck, and a trickle of blood around the wounds. She then heard something move behind her, and turned to face whatever it was, only to be struck, her weapon knocked from her hands, and she was send flying into the side of a parked car, stunning her.
