Katherine Kane
Type: Original.
Codename: Batwoman
Aliases: N/A
Age: over 25
Gender: Female.
Faction: Solo, Good
Family: Colonel Kane; Father, Beth Kane; Sister
~ Skills ~
Powers:
Super Strength
Due to gene splicing, she possesses strength equal to 1/1000th that of doomsday, capable of lifting 100 tons
Moderate Invulnerability
She possesses a good portion of the same invulnerability that Doomsday Enjoys. She couldn't withstand being inside a nuclear explosion or the core of the sun like superman and other kryptonians, but she can take quite a lot of damage.
Superspeed
She's about 1/10th as fast as Doomsday, and can run at around 250 miles an hour
Superhuman Stamina
she can operate at maximum output for several days straight before feeling fatigue.
Boney Spines
Though it is painful for her, she can grow weaponized bone spines from various places on her body. Claws, elbow spikes, knee spikes even fangs. They're extremely dense and can be used as armor if grown in the right places. She can also detach them at will, to make swords/daggers/spikes with them.
Accelerated super human healing
Even the most grave wounds regenerate within seconds, she is immune to all forms of natural disease and no longer ages. Limbs grow back within a day or two, and while it would take a very long time, she could likely recover from decapitation or dismemberment
Berserker
If incited into a rage, she transforms. She grows in size three fold and gains all of doomsday's powers. Her skin turns grey and huge bone spikes grow out from her every where. She gain's doomsdays full strength, and speed as well as his ability to over come various types of attacks. She becomes a mindless beast bent on destroying what ever incited her rage. She can exert limited control over herself while this way, only enough to stop herself from killing friends, she would never harm a lover in this state.
The rage lasts for up to ten hours(Not always the full duration), then she passes out into unconsciousness for several hours. She remembers vague images of what happens while she's like this.
Super Human senses
Like doomsday, she shares some genetic make up with Kryptonians, but rather than inheriting their heat vision or frost breath, she inherited the super human senses of sight and hearing. She can see through several layers with limited x-ray vision, and can see up to 100 miles away with telescopic vision. She can hear everything in one square mile, this distance increases based on how much is going on and of course, based on how loud the sound is.
Weaknesses:
She is weak to Kryptonite and Magic. Kryptonite will not kill her, but severely weaken her and magical effects effect her double fold.
Abilities:
she is extremely proficient in both armed and unarmed combat as a result of her West Point education and BEAST basic training coupled with two years of undocumented special operative training with members of the British Special Air Service, U.S. Navy S.E.A.L.S. and other military contacts. She is extremely physically fit and was senior elite in gymnastics at West Point. Her military training and lifestyle has instilled a deep sense of discipline and leadership that is reflective in her actions as Batwoman.
As a result of her militaristic lifestyle and upbringing, Kate has an extremely high tolerance for pain. She has been repeatedly stabbed and continued to fight off attackers. When she was abducted by followers of the Crime Bible and stabbed in the heart, she went so far as to pull out the blade and incapacitate her attackers.
Kate has also developed an uncanny ability for aerial combat. She frequently jumps between and fights on top of moving vehicles and is accustomed to battle while in free fall. While she is not as adept as Dick Grayson at acrobatic combat she is certainly experienced in this area.
Batwoman has shown detailed knowledge of human anatomy in her dealings with criminals. She is familiar with the human bodies pressure points and anatomical weak spots. On top of dressing her own wounds, Kate has displayed basic medical care to those around her. She has even shown extensive knowledge of cellular biology and organic chemistry
Weapons:
Due to her father's position within the military, Kate has access to an extensive arsenal of both lethal and non-lethal weapons. Most frequently used are her own stylized collapsible batarangs, frequently used to incapacitate opponents. She also carries a grapple gun for quick ascents and a gas gun for ranged attacks. Her utility belt also conceals tear gas grenades, lock picks, a gas mask, thermite grenades, collapsible batons, and a smart phone capable of long range communication, data storage, and computer hacking.
Her costume is treated with a liquid shear thickening compound making it both stab resistant and small arms bullet proof while retaining flexibility. The cape is a carbon nanotube composite, making it proportionally stronger than steel. It is also weighted at the ends for both defensive and offensive purposes. Her cowl protects from blunt force trauma and is lined with a red wig which further conceals Kate's identity while serving as misdirection to her opponents. The entire suit feeds into the bio-monitors, GPS tracker, and radio receiver in her torso which relays real time encrypted information back to Colonel Kane in Kate's apartment.
Kate frequently uses her high speed Bat-cycle for transport

~ Psychological Profile ~
Personality: Batwoman is a very, very intense and focused person, and she acts in a determined and businesslike manner. She gathers intelligence through surveillance, sneaking around and infiltration, prepares her strike, goes in, mauls everybody and gets out. Though officially she's fighting to protect the innocent, serve the greater good and support Batman's efforts, it's clear that her root cause is avenging her mother and sister - even though she told her father that this wasn't the case. No matter what the difficulties are, she soldiers on and never lets up - her pace and endurance are impressive. There's a hole in her psyche that will never close, inspiring her to extraordinary resolve.
Batwoman doesn't banter much in combat, but is unlikely to resist a chance for some snarky comeback and threats. She likes to snark.
The similarities with her male counterpart do not end there - she also has a locally semi-famous and flighty public identity, acting like she did before she had her epiphany. As Kate she leads a destructured, easy-going socialite and clubber life, waking up very late, often going out at night, picking up girls in clubs and occasionally playing the guitar. Her bohemian lifestyle seems to largely be inspired by the modern, post-riot-grrrl punk rock and queercore scenes - musical styles she seems to be a fan of, given the fictional band posters in her home (one being a reference to the indie comic Hopeless Savages). It is possible that she occasionally plays the guitar in one such garage band. Kane lives out of the closet, but many people among the Gotham high society seem to assume that Kate is seen with women as part of her general scandalous and free-spirited image.
Unlike Bruce Wayne, it's not a role - it's the real Kate as she used to be, and she still enjoys living that way. However, between the nights hitting the clubs and the nights as Batwoman, she's... not a morning person.
The wealthy, out, privileged and carefree Kate Kane had trouble understanding the constraints of more ordinary people - this is what triggered the break-up with Renee, who was under massive pressure as a working-class Hispanic woman working in a reactionary environment and having to stay deep in the closet. Presumably, Kate has since gained a better appreciation of the hindrances in the life of those who are less massively privileged than she is. She seems to have mostly dated upper-class professionals since her break-up with Montoya, though.
Though she's a soldier through and through, Batwoman goes out of her way not to use guns and will not let anybody get shot in her presence if she can help it - she wears the symbol of the bat. She's nearly as stringent as Batman or Batgirl on the subject, since she sees it as an important part of her duty and of the uniform she proudly wears as Batwoman. She has lots and lots of less-than-lethal weapons and tactics at her disposal, though.
Kate makes a big deal of celebrating the holidays on the Judaic calendars, even the small ones like Hanukkah, in the traditional manner. It reminds her of her childhood, her mother and her sister. If she can make those holidays better for Jewish friends and family she will happily do so, even when that required Batwoman to bust some heads to recover a stolen, irreplaceable hanukiah. When talking to her father, Kate freely alternates between "Colonel", "Sir", "Dad" and occasionally "Pop", depending on context and whim. She is very close to her dad, who is very supportive and proud of her. Their relationship is somewhat difficult to follow for outsiders since it's a mix of being best friends, father and daughter, and cadet and colonel, with shared military culture and values, and a shared tragedy. Her father has taken the habit of referring to Cathy Hamilton-Kane as "your mother" when talking to Kate, and Kate will always, always correct him - "*step*mother". Kate would die for her father, and he would die for her - in fact they both have the scars to prove that it's not just a phrase. They are currently estranged, though.
Despite being a highly-driven hardarse and a complete knockout, Kate seems oddly vulnerable and romantic in her love life. In particular she visibly enters sad-needy-baby-bunny mode whenever she feels abandoned by a lover, though she will soldier on through these feelings and just intensify her training and action regimen to change her mind. Being abandoned likely brings back pain from her youthful trauma. Generally, her romantic feelings seem to be very strong, sincere and all-encompassing, in sharp contrast with her generally disciplined and regimented Batwoman style.

There's another Batwoman that formerly played her. I played with her. She and Julia Carpenter were lovers briefly, and she was in a few threads. I'd like to keep that continuity, and explain it by adding in that she was captured and experimented on.
While scrounging through gotham for supplies she is caught in a trap set by a man named Jagger Schmidt, a German immigrant scientist that had worked at Starr Labs and was in gotham giving a lecture when the clones attacked it. The end of the world drove him kind of crazy and he began obsessing over using his knowlege to stop the clones. He got his hands on the body of a dead clone and began to experiment on it in a well equipped lab he found.
He Developed a serum over the course of a few years and began collecting test subjects, other humans, to test it on. He perfected it after a while, or so he thought. His goal was to create an air born pathogen that would transform all humans, give them all the powers doomsday has, and none of his weaknesses, so that they could defend themselves against his clones. Unfortunately, his last test subject was killed in the creation of the serum due to tissue extraction.
He never dreamed he'd catch bat woman in his trap. He tried explaining she'd be helping the entire human race, and that as a hero she should be willing to do that, but of course she wouldn't hear it. Still, he knew better than to release her from any sort of restraint, he kept her caged and sedated until he could mix the serum with her DNA to administer it. He had to mix it so that her body would accept it, his hopes were that each iteration of the serum would become more universal, so all human hosts would accept it and transform. But Kate's incredible metabolism chewed through the serum at unexpected levels, transforming her in unexpected ways. As an aeresol, it wasn't supposed to transform her, but rather become metabolized, then extracted later. It did both and when she broke free, she killed him and destroyed his lab as well as several city blocks before leaping and running out of the city.
She has no idea what happened, but was greatful for her freedom when she wakes up on a beach far away from gotham. It took her no time at all to discover her new strength and speed and durability as well as her other abilities. She created a new batwoman costume for herself and continued onward. Perhaps she'll find Julia, perhaps not. Either way, she has new powers and doesn't intend on wasting them. Finally she can really apply some force to the gears turning that will save this world.
