Lara slipped through the shadows of what was left of the great city that was once known as New York. But now it was just a shadow of it’s former self. She wasn’t stupid enough to drive anything within the city limits. She had ditched her jeep about ten miles back less likely for anything to hear her coming and attack her. She kept her eyes and ears open for any noise as she made her way deeper into the city stopping here or there to see if she could find anything useful mostly food or water but wasn’t having a lot of luck.
She eventually she ended up in front of Stark Tower she was going to move on when she heard something near by. Looking around she spotted the clone it hadn’t noticed her thankfully or it would have been on top of her by now. So she had no choice but to go inside the tower to escape before that thing saw her. Making her way to the stairs she pushed the door open before going inside she reached up to her left strap on her backpack and flipped on her flashlight. She loved having this thing it let her see in the dark and left her hands free to do whatever.
Since she was stuck in here she might as well see what useful things she could find in here. She drew one of her 9mm Colt 45s the clones weren’t the only things she would have to deal with there are still bad people in the world. Lara had no idea if anyone was living in here or not as crazy as it sounds someone might. She made her way to the second floor and began looking around to see if she could find anything useful or not.

Stark Tower was a magnificent cite to behold. Sure, the clones had done wonders to everything in New York, but it seemed to have held up fine. The top half, or so, was torn off by the clones. There was no way that the clones would not have attacked it, as it was one of the larger buildings in New York. Due to the appearance of the tower, most people seemed to steer clear of the area. That was probably a good thing, as a Doomsday clone usually roamed around the entrance. It could have been the one who had damaged the building, but, most likely, it had been a hoard of the clones. Maybe the same ones who had killed Superman. There were so many what-ifs, but hardly anyone thought of them. What was the point?
Treasure hunter Nathan Drake had taken up refuge in the tower shortly after the main attacks ended. Originally, he had lived in Florida, but the attacks forced him north. New York City was deemed one of the hardest hit, but he found himself living in the city. Not like he had much choice. It was too dangerous to run back to Florida. Far too many clones in New York, and he knew there would be plenty along the coast. Besides, he had met a new friend. A clone roamed outside the Stark building, which Nate had fondly nicknamed 'Doomy'. There was no way he'd move outside with that damn thing roaming about. Nate had been in plenty of terrible predicaments, but not as bad as having a huge creature created just to kill.
One of the rooms seemed to have running water, as Nate took a shower. It was an apocalypse outside of the tower, but he still wanted to smell nice. Just in case someone ventured into his new home, but that was very unlikely. Stark Tower had plenty of food for him to live on, so he hardly left his residence. After awhile, though, it was quite boring living in such a huge place alone. No one to talk to. Throwing a towel around his waist, he quickly left the room. What was the point of getting dressed? No one was going to see him. The towel was just to keep himself warm. As he stepped outside the room, a light fell upon his face. Quickly, he brought his hand into the air, forgetting he was holding his towel. It quickly fell to the ground, as he tried to search for the person holding the flashlight.

Lara wandered about through a few floors not really finding anything useful at the moment. But she kept working her way up until she came across one floor it looked like someone was living here. When she stood there looking around she could hear water running. She waited until whoever was inside was finished before she lifted her gun pointing it at the door. A few moments passed before a man stepped out she was about to say something when he lost his towel to the floor.
Yes she looked it was hard to miss with it right there after a few minuets she spoke up “You might want to pick that towel back up.” she had a bemused look on her face before she turned off her flashlight but she didn’t put her gun away. She had no idea who this man was she didn’t trust him. At lest she knew he was unarmed unless he found a creative to hide a weapon on him. She didn’t look away having already seen everything also she didn’t want to give him a chance to get a weapon.

Heat rushed to Nate's face after hearing a woman's voice with an English accent. Despite not one to embarrass easily, he was sure everyone would have some color to their face if someone caught them naked. For an odd reason, the woman said nothing for quite sometime. Looking him over, most likely. Probably to see if he had a weapon. The thought that she might be checking him out did not form in his mind. While Nate knew he was a fairly good looking man, he hadn't really thought of sex in a long time. He was just happy that it was his first human contact in several weeks.
The woman told Nate to pick his towel back on. How had he forgotten that? Quickly, he wrapped the towel around his waist. That was when he noticed the gun. Instead of putting both hands up, as he did last time, he only raised one hand. The woman was quite attractive, but, he swore, he knew the woman's face. Had she invented something? No, that probably wasn't it. Well, there was no since in acting suspicious towards the woman. Might as well fess up before she finds something that they'd both regret.
Close to him was a shotgun. Actually, guns were spread all throughout Stark Tower. There was usually one in reaching distance. Nate had prepared himself for any surprises that many lurk outside. No way was he going to be caught off guard by any thug. Fortunately, the woman did not look like any typical hooligan. Not that she wasn't going to shoot him. There was an fifty percent chance that he'd get shot by the woman, but those chances would signification decrease if he told her a few things. "Just throwing this out there, I have several guns stockpiled around this room. I have a shotgun in reaching distance. Oh, and, my name is Nathan Drake. Now, will you please lower that gun?"

“I’ve noticed them and you’ll have a bullet in your hand before you could lay a finger on that shotgun Mr. Drake.” Well now she knew who she was dealing with she knew of him he was a grave robber and thief. He would have been nothing but trouble for her in the past at lest those days seem to be over not many left alive and those that are wouldn’t have the money to put out for anything he could find. Lara on the other hand could still find the un-findable but with those Doomsday clones wandering about it wouldn’t really be worth looking for any artifacts.
“The names Lara Croft.” she put her gun away not really seeing the point in starting a fight with the man over nothing. From the looks of it Nate lived here now. She wondered what Tony would think if he knew someone was living here. “Why are you living in this nightmare of a city?” she would have thought someone like him would have taken off out of the city living it up on an abandon island or something. Instead he was living in what was left of Tony’s home. She placed her hands on her hips just above her guns even now she was waiting for him to try something. Old habits were hard to break even after the world ends.

One hand remained in the air. From the amount of time around gun totting women, Nate was not about to put his hands down. That was pretty much suicide. Women were usually quick to anger, and, as he found out several times, they was no limit to things they would do. When the told him to do something, he was more than likely to do it. Even when they didn't have a weapon, they were dangerous. At least the women he hung around with were. They could probably knock poor Nate out with one quick kick to the groin. Well, any woman could do that, but they were more than likely to kick him again. And again. And again.
Lara Croft? He knew that name from somewhere. Oh, she was as he liked to call her, the female version of Nate. That's right! They'd never interacting before, but they had very similar professions. Perhaps Lara's way of going about her profession was a bit more legal than the way Nate did, but, hey, everyone had their own way of doing things. For the longest time, Nate had wanted to meet Lara. For several reasons. Most were about the woman's profession. Some were reasons that all men had about wanting to met the woman.
No, he was not fanboying. There were no screams of girlish delight erupting from his lips. Just a smirk. He was very happy to meet a person that he could consider his female counterpart. That was until she asked why he was staying in Stark Tower. He didn't want her to ask him questions. If she was going to ask him any questions, he would have preferred if they were about why he was so devilishly handsome. "Look, Miss Croft, I'm not staying here of my own accord. I'd have preferred to have left America before all this happened. Those clones forced me up the Atlantic and I found myself here. Stark Tower was pretty much abandoned, so I pretty much decided to live out here," he said, then he noticed her guns were done. Time to put on the charm. "I could ask you the same, gorgeous."

Lara made her way over to a window looking down at the streets below while Nate talked. “The same reason you’re here more or less. I was running low on something’s came to see if I could find anymore but I spotted Tiny down there and didn’t want to risk running into it.” she looked away with a not to happy look on her face it wasn’t because she was stuck here with Nate it was something worst. “Oh bugger. It seems Tiny invited some of his friends over. It doesn‘t look like I‘ll be going anywhere for a while.”
This wasn’t something she was planning on happening being stuck here for a little while until the Doomsday clone wander off was one thing but now there was more and who knew how long she would be stuck here. “Have you ever noticed these things doing anything other then standing around like they are now.” it was something she wondered about for the longest time wondering why so many stayed in the cities and not move on like the others. She looked back down at them watching to see if they did anything but from the looks of it their just standing still. They couldn’t be sleeping Doomsday didn’t sleep so what could they be doing?

A small grin tugged at Nate's lips as Lara told him that they'd be stuck together for some time. Although the circumstances were a bit unfortunate, he was happy to have some company for some time. Even if it was only for a little while. Especially when it was a woman and she was quite gorgeous. It was an added treat that Lara was one of his idols. Well, that word was used a little loosely. He had always wanted to meet the woman that people compared him to. They were so very similar. It was quite odd finding a person of the opposite sex that was so similar to him. "His name is Doomy."
Making his way across the room, Nate opened a functioning refrigerator. Taking out two beers, he tossed one to Lara. They would be there for a long time. He quickly opened his own, and took a large drink. It wasn't that he didn't want to be sober when talking to her, but he knew she'd have a better time if they were both a little bit inebriated. Drinking could also bring out the talkative side of her. "So, Miss Croft, shall we enjoy the night together? Have a few drinks 'till those damn things leave. Maybe, if we get out of here, we can go see the world together. Find undiscovered artifacts."

“Doomy? Took a lot of thinking to come up with that one huh?” she turned to look at Nate watching what he was doing. Managing to catch the beer that had been tossed to her “If we’re going to be drinking I’m not going out there afterwards.” if she was going to die she wanted it to be when she was doing what she loved to do not by one of those things because she ended up getting drunk and doing something stupid.
She raised a brow at the rest of what he said “Are you suggesting some sort of partnership?” She had already seem most of the world she had partners in the past they usually ended up dead or betraying her and ended up dead either by her gun or something killed them not watching out for traps or something. They hardly ever got away alive for long.
She took a seat crossing one long leg over the other before pulling out a 12 year old scotch she found on one of the lower levels it was covered in dust. “If we’re going to drink might as well drink the good stuff.” She opened the bottle she took a swig of it, it was better then the cheap beer that Nate was drinking.

There was no intention in Nate's mind to actually leave the tower. Hell, he hardly ever needed to leave his new home. The food and water supply in the building was practically limitless. If it wasn't for Doomy and his friends outside, the place could be considered paradise. When he was making his way up the coast, there had been rumors that Stark and his buddies were planning on liberating New York City from the clones. Apparently, they had no intention of this. The place didn't seem to have a safe house. No where he could stay, so Nate quickly made his way into Stark Tower. Safest place in the entirety of the Atlantic coast, as far as he knew.
As Nate began to chug the nasty tasting alcohol, he heard Lara ask him a question. As he attempted to speak, entirely forgetting the beer in his mouth, the alcohol dripped out of his mouth and onto his shirt. Well, that definitely wasn't his finest moment. Wiping at his chin, he tried to play it cool and grinned at Lara. "Partners, yeah. Teammates. It's better if I have a teammate. When I get bored, weird things happen," he said, chuckling softly. "Besides, I have to admit, you're a person I've always wanted to meet. People have compared me to you several times."
Suddenly, Lara pulled out a bottle of scotch. From the thick layer of dust on it, Nate assumed that it was rather old. Never touched. Stark must have allowed many things to go to waste. Not something Nate would have done. For the first time, he had tasted caviar. That wasn't a huge surprise, as he was sure all rich people carried it around as a status symbol. Bringing his empty beer can close to her, he smiled as handsomely as he could. Trying to seduce the woman. "Say, Lara, you mind giving me some of that scotch?" he said, then he suddenly remembered something he wanted to ask her for the longest time, but kept it to himself. It was fairly obvious that it was childish from the grin that appeared on his face.

“So you need an entertainer to keep you from getting bored?” That idea alone didn’t sound so great she wasn’t a babysitter to keep someone from doing weird things cause he’s bored. “Funny no one’s ever compared me to you I’ve barley heard anything about you until now.” Lara wasn’t trying to be mean she just wasn’t one mingle with people much unless she had to even less if you were rich. Guess she was to much into her work to get to know people a workaholic but she enjoyed it. She always said ‘Your not truly living unless your living dangerously.’
Lara saw the way Nate was looking at her trying to seduce her it would take a lot more then that to seduce her. Nothing about Lara Croft was easy. She rolled her eyes but lucky for her they were hidden behind her sunglasses so she didn’t have to hear him. “As long as your not going to spill it all over.” she took the can and poured some of the scotch filling the can half way it’ll do for starters. It was good scotch she didn't want to waste it "Does this place have more then one bed?" she wasn't sure how long she'd be stuck here and wanted to know if she'd be sleeping on the floor or a bed she wouldn't be sharing one with Nate anytime soon.
