(Purgatori) In Need Of Help

Here is Tony Stark at the Avengers headquarters in the control room center. He's going over reports of the drones and what they've have done so far. Those clone have done way too much damage, hurting innocent lives and Tony just needed to find a weak spot to kill them, even though there are many of them out there.

The heroes that he and Rhodes recruited were going to help them take back loss ground but needed to straetigize first. His staff and other workers including Rhodes were out on lunch so he didn't need to worry about them. The only person he was worried about was Karen Starr, known as Power Girl.

Since the other day, Tony was worried about his best friend who was different and not the same Karen he knew back in the day. Luckily when he came back, Tony did some research and located where she lived now. But what he found out is she wasn't living alone but with someone else.

Purgatori teleported all the way from Neo Egypt to the states into the Avengers underground base. It wasn’t a hard thing to do even easier when she knew the person she was going to see. In a flash of bright light she was standing before Tony Stark, wings and all she was back to her god form she was rarely out of it these day’s. “Tony, It’s been a while.” she knew the man because once upon a time her company had taken his place in selling weapons plus he sometimes played side-kick to her wife. When they were out super heroing. But they never fought side by side Purgatori preferred to leave the super hero thing to Karen and Tony she just dealt with the supernatural side of things.

“Sorry to just drop in like this but you’re one of the only one’s still alive that I can talk to and trust. Karen told me what happened in Metropolis but I’m not here for that. I’m sure you’ve noticed how strangely Karen’s been acting? One second she’s ready to rip your head off and the next she’s crying her eyes out or something like it?” she moved over to where the iron avenger was standing. “Did she ever tell you who brought her back?” she wanted to know how much he knew before she said anymore so she wouldn’t end up leaving him in the dark and clueless. So much has happened in the last week she wasn’t even sure she could keep up with it all anymore.

As Tony continue reading reports and thinking of weaknesses, suddenly a bright light appeared and once it faded, appeared a woman. He knew who it was….Purgatori. She took over the weapons industry when Tony stopped using weapons for his company, going into the wrong hands of people, like terrorist, killers and every person who had a bad influence on the world. She was also the wife of Karen Starr, his best friend, and knew right off the bat why she was here. “Yes, it has been a long time. It’s good to see you though Purgatori. ” he said. Tony heard her talk about Karen and what happened in Metropolis the other day with Rhodes. He remembered what happened, seeing a different side of Karen from the one who knew. It was disturbing but also scary from Tony’s perspective.

Tony nodded his head. “Yes. I for one noticed up close how Karen’s been acting and it’s just sad to her in the current state she’s in right now. And yes, she also told me who brought her back to life, changing her and everything else. I take it you’ve come here to see what I can do.” he said to her as Tony took a seat and sighed before continuing. “Maybe the three of us can have dinner and just talk about old times maybe? It may not be a lot but a first step of getting the old Karen back” he told Karen’s wife. That was the first idea that came in Tony’s head but would it be enough?

“Well your partly right I would like to see what you can do to help her by helping me get a hold of Spiral. I think she’s the reason why Karen’s acting the way she is her diagnostics on herself always come back normal we both know it’s not true or she wouldn’t be acting the way she is.“ She found a seat and took it as she spoke her thoughts on it. She decided to put off the answer to the dinner invite for now.

“Spiral is being forced to do something she doesn’t like and I think she’s going to use Power Girl as her own personal weapon against everyone. Think about it she’s changed Karen so much we don’t even know if anything that could stop her before will still work or not. And if not Spiral could use her to destroy the world or at the very lest kill all of us starting with the Justice League.” She knew some of her magic worked on Karen enough to slow her down but she doesn’t think it’ll do much good if the blonde was moving at full speed as she killed everyone Purgatori couldn’t move that fast.

“We could do dinner I’m not sure how helpful it’ll be. But be sure to have a suit with you I don’t know what will set her off anymore and I don’t want her to end up killing you or me.” she fell silent again as her mind began to race over all the things that could happen. She wasn’t really sure Karen could just cry her eyes out or try to kill them both again.

“We both want the same thing for Karen, you‘re not the only one. I mean we can eat, talk about old times and everything. No stress or nothing but I guess I will still bring the suit….just in case” Iron Man said shrugging his shoulders but Tony was still serious about the idea. The thought of Karen killing him would never happen and deep down inside he knew that too. But Karen has changed throughout the years and if what he and Rhodes saw the other day was true, bad things were coming. “But what you said about Spiral is true and if so then Karen’s in a lot of trouble. I’m not sure if Spiral is doing this alone, maybe someone else is really pulling the strings around here” he told her.

“Unless…..” Tony said starting to scratch his chin, thinking of the next move. “Let me ask you this, do you know where Spiral is located at?” he asked the goddess and wife of Karen if she knew. “I think it’s time that answers need to be explained. I mean yes we all know Karen is now half human and half cyborg but why though? What did Spiral need to do this?” he said and asked at the end. “The bottom line here is that Spiral isn’t acting alone…there maybe someone else in the works and whoever the person is, revenge is on the mind” he told her and that was his speculation but Tony could be wrong, he’s not always right. “What do you think?” Tony asked scratching his chin as he listens to Pouratogi.

“The last time I saw her was on the league satellite in her body shop they had set up for her. Your right she probably isn’t doing this alone the only person I could think of that might be working with her is Mojo but if he had shown up I think someone would have noticed and let everyone else know about it.” she stood up and began to pace back and forth like a caged animal trying to think of who else she could be working with.

After a bit she stopped to face Tony “The only other people that know anything about her and who she might be working with is the X-Men I think Wolverine is still around some place. He’s on so many teams not sure how to find him though.” he was the one who told her about Spiral when she went looking for more information about the six armed woman and why the league had her up there long before she knew Karen was alive.

"Purgatori...it's ok" he said walking up to her. "I know how much you're concerned about Karen and what has happened to her. The same goes to me....I mean the other day when she punched a hole in my armor suit, held me up....getting a up and person close up.....her breath smelled like something different....nothing normal" he told her. "Then her threatening me to call the whole thing off...it...it just scared me"[/color] Tony said as he can remember that day well. He didn't know what was going on with PG until she explained it all. Tony could only fell sad for his best friend.

"Now...about Wolverine...for all I know he's still working with the X-Men in Utopia. So maybe you or I can go over there and talk to him....see what he knows" he said as Tony scratched his chin. "Then go forward from there Porgatori. I know one thing is for certian, there will be answers on what really happend to Karen. I think for Karen everything right now is just too much but in time she'll be back to herself...it won't be easy though" he said and knew he was right. It takes time to fuction and manage new things but as long as you work hard, anything is possible.

“I know it’s some sort of acid she used it on me or tried to. She tried to kill me before she realized it was me. She thought I was some sort fake. Someone told her that everyone she knew and loved was dead.” She stopped walking turning to face Tony she felt lost at what to do for her wife. She loved Karen but she was also scared of the woman she knew if she let her guard down and something set Karen off she could easily kill her. Sakkara wasn’t looking forward to dying a third time she wasn’t sure if she could come back if she could what would she come back as? Would it be her old vampire self or her god self? She didn’t know and didn’t want to find out.

“I think you should talk to Wolverine he and I…we tolerate each other at best. At worst we’re trying to kill one another. Past problems long story.” Sakkara pissed off a lot of people over her long lifetime most of them are dead by now but there were still a lot alive and wanting her dead still. “I’ll tell you this whoever is messing with Karen be it Spiral or someone else their day’s are numbered even after their dead I’ll make sure they’ll never rest.”

"I'll go ahead and talk to Wolverine and see what he knows" he told her and could only imagine what would go down between Purgatori and Wolverine. Seeing two people who had great powers could wreck the whole planet to pieces so Tony's glad to be in the middle between them. "Maybe once I am done with Wolverine maybe we could still have that dinner planned?" he asked her still. "I mean I know to Karen it might not be a good idea but I think it can work. It'll just be a nice normal dinner where we'll chat and talk about old times" he suggested knowing it can still work.

"But anyway I will talk to Logan and see what he knows. We'll get the old Karen back, i'm sure of it" he told PG's wife and friend.
