Superhuman Strength: Julia possesses superhuman strength enabling her to lift at least 10 tons. During periods of strain, she can push 25 tons, but only for a few seconds
Superhuman Speed: Julia is capable of running and moving at speeds considerably greater than the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Stamina: Julia's musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.

Psychokinetic Webbing: ability to utilize psionic-based webbing (psi-webs), although it requires a lot of concentration to manifest (at least it did at first, as she seems to have no such problems with this power now). By using psychokinetic energy, she can bind ambient free-floating molecules into strands of solid force. Her psi-webs can be used to wrap enemies, or focused into narrow web-lines that she can swing from. Due to its psychic nature, her psi-webs can be used in ways Spider-Man's webbing never could, such as causing webs to form from a distance, or controlling the movement of her webbing mentally. She can create webs of psionic energy able to hold up to 100 tons. The web must be anchored by at least two surfaces.

(This knowledge is likely common among people with well connected sources, it wasn't house hold knowledge, but it's not an impossible to know secret)
Ward: Some where in the world Julia's nine year old daughter Rachel is alive. Julia knows this because of psychic link and astral protection, but she can not find her. The location is blocked some how. She will be distracted by this driving goal of finding her daughter until she is found, and her daughter will always be a weakness, a potential victim, a bargaining chip, or target against Julia for those that would stoop low enough to use a child in such a way.
Abilities: Before getting her powers, Julia was an amazing almost Olympic level Gymnast. She also has a degree in mathematics. Aside from that, she is extremely charismatic and has a very high sex appeal, which she can use on members of the opposite sex, or on the same sex attracted to her, to manipulate them into doing what she wants.

Personality:
Julia is funny, sarcastic and witty. She's flirty and enjoys making people squirm in any variety of ways. But she's also a dedicated mother and a loyal friend. She's walked on both sides of the law and is typically not afraid of getting her hands dirty. She's also very bold and unforgiving. When it comes to things she wants, the rest of the world be damned, she will get what she wants, but she is not infinitely selfish either, there are scenarios in which she will put others before herself. She's kind of a black cat version of spider-man. Strong Moral compass that is regularly disrupted by shiny things. Of course those shiny things could be anything from nice broad shoulders and dark hair to curves and a great rack or diamonds and silk.
History:
Julia's first twenty years of life were boring and uneventful, she never attended normal schools, always private schools, but she had a tendency to act out and misbehave so she was shuffled around a lot, and sometimes was sent away to schools to live away from home. Her parents were filthy rich, her father being high ranking ex-military that took to the private sector when he retired from armed service to work for a company contracting with the military. He worked his way up and was the CEO of said company before the world ended. Her mother was a busy body mistress of gossip who was cheating on Julia's father with a man named Clarence, whom Julia met on many occasions. Julia and her mother were very close, and shared all their secrets, through high school they were best friends almost and Julia's mother taught Julia what the world has to offer women and how best to handle those offerings. Of course Julia had her own ideas about the world, but took it all in with a healthy skepticism. She got her fathers moral compass and will power and her mothers sex appeal and conniving nature.
In her junior year at university while working towards a degree in mathematics, her relationship with the star quarterback of the college football team bared fruit she wasn't yet ready to receive. A baby girl, her daughter, Rachel, born May 29th, seven pounds five ounces. Derrick, her boyfriend at the time, was thrilled. Till the stress of being a father, effected his performance on the field later that fall and he lost his scholarship. He dropped out of school and went back home and Julia never heard from him again.
Julia's parents were beyond angry at Julia for messing around and getting pregnant. Julia's mother declared her a slut and refused to speak to her for months and months and Julia's father was determined to drill it into Julia's skull that she couldn't take any time off to take care of her baby, she had to finish school and be a mother. Of course Julia had her father wrapped around her pinky finger, so he bent over backwards more than a few times to help her out, and eventually helped smooth things over between her and her mother too.
At that point, she became extremely cynical about all relationships. She had truely loved Derrick and he completely abandoned her. She grieved for the loss by pouring all of her emotions into her child. Everything else was met with brutal efficiency, school, people, everything, but her daughter was nothing but tender love and care.
It took her a year longer, but she graduated with a degree in mathematics with a 3.8 GPA. Her father had expected a 4.0 but forgave her and things were great for awhile. She had no college debt and a car, and she could stay in her parents mansion until she found a job. Despite swearing Julia was a slut just a year ago, she began to encourage Julia to find a nice boy and get married and settle down and have some (more) grand kids. For some reason, Julia's mother did not really acknowledge Rachel and that pissed Julia off a lot. Julia's mother never liked Derrick and she was very old fashioned, marriage before sex and all that. Thankfully, or perhaps sadly, by that point Julia's father had realized his wife was cheating on him and simply let go of the passion he once had in marriage and focused all his emotional efforts on his daughter and grand daughter. So while Julia's mother was a hateful bitch, her father began to ease up and became even bearable enough to go places in public with!
So a few months later she got a job working for some marketing company with a job to simply crunch numbers all day on sales and customer demographics, it was great. But she screwed up and went against her fathers advice. She used her sterling credit rating to get a load of credit cards, a nice house and another car (What did she even need two cars for?). The job paid good, but not THAT good and it wasn't a year out before Julia's bills started to pile up. She went to her father for help but he refused to help her. He'd make sure that Rachel was completely provided for, and Julia would never go hungry, but they started talking about foreclosing on her house and taking both cars away.
Not to much longer after that, Julia's mouth got her smooth fired from work. She had become something of a rumor pusher and enjoyed drama just a little to much. She had experienced being stabbed in the back by friends before, i mean, she survived high school, private high school at that, but never on this level. Plus, all that sex appeal and lust didn't just go away, she flirted with just about everybody up at work and eventually, her boss couldn't cover for her any more. Several sexual harassment charges and then a few well placed flat out lies and her job was over. So now she is hip deep in debt and jobless. Of course it wasn't the end of the world, she has a millionaire father, but from Julia's limited, and some-what spoiled perspective, it really -was- the end of the world.
Then by chance, she happened to run into a woman she had been genuine friends with in college, a woman named Gwen. Gwen had been going for biology and Julia had basically taught her all the math she knew. Now with a masters in biology and working on her doctorate, she was involved in a lot of top end experiments and government oriented tests. The two had lunch and the women traded numbers with plans to go out again later that week. The two had been a little more than friends in college and Julia was definitely in need of some comfort in bed with how rough her life was getting, so she was eager to rekindle old relationships.
Before their next date could occur, her old friend called her up one evening to ask if Julia would be interested in serving as a test subject. Julia had always been an avid participant in sports. In college she was into basketball and track and that trend hadn't gone away, she spent several hours a week at the gym and was in peek physical condition. The study called for healthy adults with Immaculate physical fitness and it paid really well, so well in fact, that Julia could handle all of her debt and maybe get out from under her father for ever. So eager for a seemingly simple fix, Julia jumped at the chance and rekindled her relationship with this Gwen in the process. But they kept it a secret, because of ethical boundaries. Some how or other, seems Julia is always involved in SOME kind of scandal!
Either way, she signed up, passed the trials and proceeded with the tests. It was a month long study of trial and error and a whole lot of pain. Unfortunately, Julia signed on the dotted line without actually reading through most of it, but she had essentially sold her body to science and they did what ever they damn well pleased with her. Occasionally Gwen would object if the trials seemed to harsh or severe, but the other researchers assured Gwen that while the pain would be intense, Julia would survive.
The tests involved experimental super soldier serums and spider DNA along with a multitude of strange concoctions of unknown or secret origins. There was only one participant at a time. Julia's day consisted of rigorous training exercises to test her physical limits, painful and often invasive or embarrassing procedures and then more tests. Tests of the mind, tests of the body. When Julia began to show positive results, the tests became even worse and harsher! She was pushed to her mental and physical limits, pushed so hard she no longer even felt confident in her ability to be a mother, so she sent Rachel to live with her parents for awhile. For months she lived on edge, constantly in a haze of drugs or pain or both.
In the end though, there was a break through and it all paid off. Suddenly Julia could bench press cars and punch holes in brick walls, dodge bullets and read other peoples thoughts. She became exactly what the scientists had hoped she would! The origin of her mutant super powers lays in a test tube and in math. Their assasin super soldier was complete and she was everything they could've hoped for.
Immediately following that, Julia began to undergo all sorts of military training. She was recruited by a secret government agency working directly with mutants to carry out special tasks that normal soldiers couldn't. Julia got her hands dirty more than a few times and decided she needed something to keep her honest. So she made herself a costume to theme against her bizarre spider-like powers and began moon lighting on the side as the super hero crime fighter Arachne. Some bizzare circumstances led to her fighting in a war off world in deep space, when she returned she hung up her hat and left the government and began working with a variety of super hero teams and even teamed up with spider man a few times exclusively as arachne. She used the pay she received from working with legit super hero teams to care for her daughter, but increasing absence was beginning to wear on her relationship with the child.
Her life was going through a variety of transitions at this point. She wasn't home enough to care for her daughter, and her dual identity was beginning to drag her down. She developed a permanent psychic link with her daughter, it was not enough to see through her daughter's senses or know her location but it was enough to know she was safe, and then she sent her to live with her parents. It was the hardest thing she ever did.
Not long after that, the doomsday clones began their assault on earth and everything went to hell. Now she spends her days living off the land while searching for her daughter. She keeps everything she owns with her wrapped up in psychic webbing. She will sometimes sneak into the city to search for clues, but is more than aware she couldn't hope to take on even one of the doomsday clones. At best she could slow it down with a psychic assault, so she stays out of sight as well.
